I had a disappointing experience at this LCBO location. A staff member named Winfred initially refused service due to ID policy, which I understood.
However, after those without ID left, the remaining customers with valid ID were still refused without any explanation. The tone was dismissive and unprofessional.
As an Indian customer, the interaction felt uncomfortable and discriminatory due to the lack of respect and clarity.
Policies should be enforced respectfully. This was not.

Worst staff ever, one of the old cashiers yelled at me just because I couldn’t hear what he said. I was also looking for an Italian wine in specific and the staff just pointed to the Italian section. Like wow!, if you don’t wanna work in this kind of job just quit it. Uggh

Great Variety at LCBO
The LCBO offers a fantastic selection of beverages, with something for everyone. Whether you're into international wines, spirits, or craft beers, there's always something new to discover. Security team were on their phones in store. One was putting the phone behind the bottle watching YouTube, and another was chatting.
Why hire those undertrained people who were not professional and distracted to do anything for security reasons?

There were two cashiers with one serving a customer with his closed sign up. I would have been happy to wait 20 seconds for the other cashier, but he removed his sign with a big, dramatic sigh and yelled next! I put the products through the small square, bar codes facing him, thinking this would make his job easier. Instead e got mad and said "next time put them at the end so they don't get scanned accidentally" I said sorry, I thought closer would be easier. I now have my card in the machine when he starts repeating himself. I said I understood, he doesn't have to repeat himself. He starts yelling again and asking me if I want to get served or not!?! I asked him if he's upset because he had his closed sign up and was ready to leave cash. He said he was closing, but he saw a line up (true) and he was about to put out stock for "you people" That's right "you people" now I wonder if other negative reviews accusing a cashier of being racist is the same person. Nice to know that's how you think of your tax paying customers. BTW, maybe you should remove the shields that do nothing for safety or hygiene and maybe don't be pissy because the public didn't support your strike.
