“I remember Pioneer Village very well! I was a child when I went with my class. I am now 62. It was a crazy thing we discovered! While sitting under a tree, I saw a piece of plastic and pulled it out of the ground. It was filled with 50 cent pieces. Of course, I was excited and told the other children. We all started pulling up bags of coins. The teacher at the time caught us and let the staff know. We had to give all the coins back. I wonder where it came from and if it was ever written about. Crazy!”

“I attended virtual wine testing event hosted by 30.50 imports. It was a lot of fun! Great experience overall. The wine was delivered to my house in a fancy box, with the instructions. There were 2 bottles of wine from the Verona winery. The additional bonus was the winery owner explained the wine creation process and differences. All the attendees enjoyed the experience a lot and had fun. Highly recommended.”

“Gayle wanted a bottle of wine for our nearby Hilton Hotel room and as we unsuccessfully tried to locate the address of this LCBO, it struck both of us that we needed to go below street level. So after descending into this section of Toronto's extensive underground business district, we found this LCBO almost immediately. LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) must be the "free market" brand of what remains to be a Province controlled alcohol enterprise. Unlike the old Pennsylvania State stores, our LCBO experience was one of a clean and modern store, with helpful employees, a really nice selection (and purchase), and reasonable prices. I still prefer the more complete free market approach that Alberta has, but when in Rome.Our 2 chardonnay choices were:- J. Lohr Riverstone- Pelee Island (Ontario) - When in Canada, why not buy Canadian wine?”

“I don't venture to the Danforth often, and after meeting up with a friend for lunch, wanted to check out the Greek wine selection here as many LCBO's on the outskirts of town do not carry hardly any inventory (usaually 2-3 whites and reds). You dont have to go looking for product as it's literally right in front of you when you walk through the doors. The selection is huge, and I walked away with a couple of great bottles of white.”
