I used to shop at Rona and used to work for them back when employees actually had to know something about the store and products. Customer service was disgusting and rude I won’t ever buy from Rona again. And as long as I see durkas behind the desk I won’t give any more of my money to this shyte company.

Purchased a Christmas tree that is still under warranty but the lights won’t work. It’s a Rona in house brand but they will not honour the warranty and cannot provide me with manufacturer information (all circles back to Rona) wasted a whole day between the store and customer service and got nowhere.

Rona took over this store, when the US company left the Canadian market. Results are mixed, prices went slightly up, VIP members get less than before. The staff does not look motivated to help as before.
The store is less visited than before, most of the crowd is visiting nearby Home Depot...

Not sure what to think of a shop this big with no cashier counter, and only 3 out 6 self service booth open.... the return process is utterly slow and antiquated. How many receipts do you need to staple together for a 10$ return? Customer service reps are all looking at each other but only one is working? Borderline rude. Alleys are numbered but not sections? Parts are misplaced in the wrong boxes. Is anybody managing this place? Home depot is just as expensive but at least they have it together. A disgrace to our canadian name.

Staff rude no helpful i ask a guy he says this is in lowes body is same store got name change i the sprinkles not even in right box so u have to waste your time searching for yourself non of them gonna help you like contractor comes to spend large amounts of money they need a guide a help so they get what they want then they come back but for us we better found a small corner stores is more helpful and professional than that mess

Another great RONA store with excellent staff! I needed assistance with some ceramic Kitchen tiles & Brad was most helpful, personable & professional with his service.
He was very knowledgeable & informative in regards to what I required & assisted me greatly. Thank you Brad! Much appreciated ?

I was at the store lately and notice that the staff that usually help me were no longer there. The store itself was not as busy as before...is the store closing!
What's happening!!!!
There are managers there but when I went to ask one of the managers to help me in the paint department, he couldnt help me but call another for help. Shouldn't they know every aspect of the store? A bit disappointed ☹️

Great location of the RONA+ stores we have been to.
We were there to check out some sheds and were approached by a member of the sales team. Initially we were worried they were going to try to sell us on a shed but really there were there just to help us if we had any questions. Not pushy at all which was nice.
The only downside when asked about stock, the clerk mentioned they had 2 (one on display with the other inside). They provided us the exact aisle location and everything but when we searched, none was to be found which was a disappointment.

Blinded by Bad Service
Tried several visits to buy blinds from Rona+ Queensway (my mistake) and received some terrible customer service over the multiple visits.
Initially showed up to buy some of their Allen + Roth cut-to-size blinds. On a previous visit the staff had advised that only a specially trained employee could cut the blinds (makes sense it’s a very sharp saw). Unfortunately, again, no one who could do this was present, but was assured if I came back again at 4pm one of the people certified to use the saw would be there.
Another nice family with two small kids were similarly instructed.
Returning just after 4pm, I waited 25 minutes for help (the women at the customer service counter were helpful at least and paged 3 times). No one showed up. I asked the customer service people to get the manager so that he could find someone to assist. Brad, the assistant manager was helpful and did track down the blinds guy to help. It turns out this guy also was not certified. So three tries with no luck plus a long wait after being advised that for sure an appropriately trained staff member would be there. Brad offered a solution that he would have someone cut the blinds the next day and I could pick them up. He also reduced the price, which was helpful. So I paid for the blinds in advance.
Thinking about it overnight, I realized that I didn’t believe the blinds would be cut properly after looking at a description of the product online. I went back this morning and got a refund for the blinds before they were cut.
Brad later called in the afternoon to say that the blinds had been cut (no-one had bothered to tell him I had got a refund despite me leaving a note for him). I said thanks and would come to check them out, but it was my understanding that the blinds couldn’t be cut to the size I wanted after all.
I returned again this afternoon to check out the blinds. After asking a guy at the customer service desk to see if he could track down the blinds Brad had left for me, I patiently waited 10 minutes again for the guy to return with the blinds. I glanced out the window to see him wandering the parking lot aimlessly instead of getting the blinds for me.
I asked someone else at customer service to get the manager to track down the blinds.
The woman and her kids from the day before were also there. While I was waiting the manager had initially refused to come out and talk to her (they had similarly messed up her order as well and she had now made 3 visits with two small kids…she unfortunately had not got a refund).
At least Brad tried to help, this guy did nothing. The blinds (as expected) were not properly cut (luckily I had got the refund earlier). He advised that they were “reviewing the blind department”. Didn’t offer any apologies for the inconvenience or for the fact his employee had disappeared on a hike while helping me.
He was also refusing to give a refund to the woman even though they had given her a defective product, and wouldn't work with her to find an alternative (not sure if he caved in the end).
Why sell a product basically no one you employ has been properly trained to work with?
Anyway, I won’t be back again to this terrible store.

Verne is an actual treasure to this store. His knowledge, thoroughness, accuracy, care, speed, and customer service is UNMATCHED of any kitchen sales associate I have dealt with. I know this for a fact as the home depot SA helping me with cabinetry was clueless in certain things and didn't have that passion or speed in getting things together as Verne. The entire time I was regretting why I went to Home Depot, because I just wanted Verne to work with me. He gave us comfort and reassurance in our massive kitchen project. I'll keep coming to this specific Rona so long as Verne can take care of me.

This is the most useless store ever.
The staff are rude and apparently not allowed to have their own scanners.
The service is terrible and most staff unknowable about the store they work in.
5 employees did not have a scanner just ridiculous.
The store Rona will not survive in this market without customer service.
