Disgusting hygiene, incompetent staff, and poor workmanship.
I had easily the worst experience I could have ever expected from a suit rental, and it set a new low for the service industry as a whole. I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy.
The hygiene at this place is sickening, quite literally. I was a groomsman, and we were required to match rentals through Moores. I had to book an appointment for a fitting ahead of time. When I went to get fitted for my suit, the employee gathered all of the items for me to try on: a dress shirt, suit jacket, suit pants, and shoes.
When trying on the dress shirt, to my HORROR, there was a rather large BLOOD stain on the dress shirt's arm sleeve (I unfortunately did not take a photo).
I immediately took it off and returned it to the employee, who just PUT IT BACK ON THE RACK WITH THE OTHER "clean" dress shirts and gave me a new dress shirt from the same rack. I very naively gave them the benefit of the doubt and continued with trying on the rest of the outfit, which I completely regret.
I understand that I should not comment on someone's personal hygiene, but the employee who was assisting had horrendously bad breath. As she was helping with the measurements, I was trying my best not to gag. Nevertheless, she got all my measurements down and told me to return 3 days before the event for pickup, at this point as well payment was due which was $200.
Immediately after this, I fell ill for several weeks. I can't confirm it was related, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Then came the time to actually pick up the suit, which they somehow managed to mess up even further.
When I arrived to try on the prepared suit, the jacket was about 3 sizes too large. I only did a brief inspection of the dress shirt and pants, which fit fine. I told the staff member, "Vishal," that I would need a different jacket. He assured me they would have it ready for the day before the wedding, and I agreed to return once again to pick it up.
When I returned 2 days later, a new employee handed me the suit again, and I tried it on. The jacket was the exact same, and they had forgotten to swap it out. Fortunately, "Vishal" was working again and was able to retrieve the new jacket from the back. I tried on the suit once more, and it seemed to fit.
However, upon removing my suit pants, I noticed something in the back pocket that I hadn't noticed before. When I checked, inside was GUM and a USED NAPKIN stuck to the inside of the pants (pictured).
At this point, I was absolutely disgusted. I tried to work with the employee to sort this out, but he gave me a pair of tuxedo pants that didn’t match. I pointed this out, and he left for the back for an extended period of time. Thankfully, once again, "Vishal" came to check on me, and he sorted it out, retrieving a new pair of pants from the back, which had to be hemmed, the employee then had the Gall to ask if i could return in a half hour to pick up the hemmed pants, to which I responded "no" as i did not have the time.
I am convinced that if Vishal were not there, the place would either go up in flames or become the epicenter of a new pandemic.
The worst part about this is that I had to PAY for this experience and had no leverage as a costumer as I had to pay in advance. after all this as well the suit didn't even fit all that well in comparison to some of the other groomsmen who went to other Moores locations.

Unpleasant, arrogant cashier. I was there around 17:00 on Wed, Oct 16, 2024. I patiently waited at the cashier to pay for one bowtie. There were two cashiers both helping customers. When my turn came, I was asked if I have an account with them. I said “no”, And added politely that I was sorry but I was waiting for my Uber and the Uber will be arriving soon so I would rather make this quick. The male staff at the cashier laughed at me. I thought I was mistaken - giving him a benefit of doubt. But he went on to behave rather unpleasantly and laughed at me again. I was appalled and left quickly. What a disgusting manner. Please show some class especially if you are the face of the business. This staff is a negative representation of their other staff who might be working hard with pride.

They tried to give me a lower amount in price match until I argued with them. I had a poor experience and they only post positive reviews on their web site and replied that negative reviews are ineligible to be published on their web site.

Vishal was so pleasant to work with and truly has your best interest. He provided great suggestions and gave us different looks for our wedding day. We also got a great deal with matching bowties and pocket squares for all of the groomsmen. Highly recommend and would come again.

Quite literally the worst customer service I’ve ever witnessed. Went in with my partner to get him a custom suit for a wedding he is in, and they were initially helpful when they realized he was getting a custom suit. Seemingly after the initial measuring and payment, they made no efforts to communicate the order and were extremely rude. 5 days before the wedding he had to call in to see where his suit was and they told him it hadn’t shipped and wouldn’t be ready for the wedding. They offered no solution, nothing. We had to go in to get refunded, but he was left high and dry 5 days before a wedding he is in. You’d think a company where you’re helping people with very special and stressful occasions they’d be trained in good, and proper customer service. Even if you’re getting a custom order, they’re still horrible to you. Would NOT recommend. Save yourself the trip and go somewhere that values you as a customer and the customer experience.

If I could give 0 stars I would. To start off I needed a suit ordered from Moore's as I am taking part in a wedding party this weekend. I ordered my suit August 12 to to stay in the six week max, and make sure I got my suit in time which was guaranteed by the staff on the day of placing my order. the process went smoothly and everyone at the store was very friendly and nice when I mentioned it was custom suit.
The fact it was custom ment it could take extra time to arrive in store.
After not hearing anything for 3 weeks I called Moore's just to a check. A staff worker was rather rude on the phone until I mentioned it was a custom suit (a recurring issue with the communication on the store). I was finally told that the suit had a delay as there was an issue with the cutting but not to worry as it would 100% be on time.
The next week (last week) I called again asking if they had an update on Wednesday. I was again told about the issue but it was expected to ship Friday and arrive latest by September 18 this Wednesday.
I called again Friday and Saturday asking the sames questions to see if I should start to find a backup plan with the groom so I could make sure I have a similar suit in time, but was constantly reassured that even though they don't see a shipping confirmation that it would be here and not need to worry. I also gave my phone number Wednesday and Friday expecting to receive a call with updates although I never got a call back from the store any of the times I left my info.
Things seemed fine until I called Monday (5 days before wedding) asking if I can have an update. I was speaking to someone new this time. She told me she would see where the suit was and have an answer and call me back in 5-10 minutes. I never received the call and called back myself an hour later. It took 3 tries for someone to pick up the phone and it was a different gentleman who told me that they already new it wasn't going to arrive in time but never thought it a good idea to inform me on that. I asked what they are going to do and was told it wasn't the stores fault but the shipping comes from Mexico so that's what they blamed it on.
Later that day (Monday 16th) I went in store and got a full refund for the suit and an apology. This is where I thought the situation would end.
Thankfully another member of the party had an issue with Moore's and needed to find a different suit in the same colour (as moores doesn't do the grey brown colour off the rack) and tip top tailors at the dufferin mall bent over backwards to fin the closest store with the suit and express ship it from Montreal in my size. I again thought it was the end of it and am very glad tiptop did everything Moore's couldn't.
Jump to 30 minutes ago Moore's called me saying somehow the suit had magically arrived. I called back asking if I would be expected to pay the full price or if they would offer some form of discount for service I received. They said no (suprise) and thankfully will never have to deal with that store or company again. And hope anyone reading this will also avoid this location and company to avoid completely unnecessary stress.

When you rent a suit from Moores, they seem more focused on making a sale than on ensuring a good fit. I received my suit just two days before the wedding, and it looked outdated—like something from the early 2000s. The jacket reached past my knees, and the pants were baggy. It was a complete mess. I will never rent from Moores again, and I can't recommend them due to their poor customer service and lack of care for their customers.

AWFUL customer service. Would avoid it at all costs.
The store was almost empty but the salesman was super rude and difficult to talk to.

I love this location! They always are so friendly, attentive and quick with their services. Special shoutout to Jason who has helped me multiple times. Will only go here for any alterations or clothes.

Save your wedding party the money and their time. Do not rent from these guys. Every time I've had to pick up a rental, its a 300 dollar inconvenience.
