This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. My husband, who does not drink, was falsely accused of being intoxicated and we were denied the car we had already paid for. When we asked for the booking to be cancelled , Santhos refused and instead told us to call Expedia for a refund, passing the responsibility in a way that made no sense.
The way he handled the situation was completely unprofessional: he was disrespectful, dismissive, and went as far as blatantly lying to my husband’s face. His behavior not only showed a lack of integrity but also raised serious concerns of discrimination. Unfortunately, because of his actions, this company has lost our business, and I would strongly caution others against trusting their services.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced the desk person wasn’t even at the play had a sign saying be back in 15 took longer than 15 had to call the guy and when he shows up starts blaming me cause I’m late thought the customer is always right but here I guess the employees are who we need to keep happy, didn’t eve. Rent the car the guy was a jerk never even thinking about this horrible service plz Check your employees.

DO NOT rent from this company, although the people were nice, they will go out of their way to scam you!! Especially if you don’t have “sufficient” insurance (I paid their own in house insurance,$176 for 2 days,because my 2 credit cards wouldn’t go through suspiciously ). Had some coating under the front bummer slightly scratched,didn’t even break the paint.,only can be seen with a camera or laying on the ground under the car. No idea how this happened,but they told me it was covered and they need a 1k deposit until it gets reviewed “but to not worry the money will be refunded later” , only to have them call me and say I owe another $1100 dollars and they took my 1k deposit (obviously) ,.at this point it seemed very scam like.. messaging me through WhatsApp (which I don’t use) with an email and monetary amount to send, with zero info on the alleged “damage” saying I’d get that after payment, so they just stole 1k from me and most likely will send the rest to a collections agency. Avoid this company at ALL costs !

Rented a car through payless rentals in scottsdale at the airport. Waited over 60min in line to pick up the keys for our reservation. 1 customer service agent. 20+ people waiting frustratingly! Avis in the same area 8 agents helping their customers. Do NOT rent from Payless car rentals, unless you have nothing better to do then stand in line.

Had a great experience with payless for 1 week while i was in toronto. San upgraded me to a nicer car for free and the car was clean and well maintained. I guess the bad reviews cant appreciate that san is an authentic dude and tells it how it is which i respect. I will definitely be calling san next time I'm in toronto for a car!

Very helpful and friendly staff, was a smooth process. Used Payless twice in Costa Rica now and will continue to use them in the future. Be sure to research the countries you're planning on renting in about the mandatory insurances that are applied after your quote, even with your CC insurance you will be required to have this. Payless in Liberia was fast an easy with a provided shuttle to and from the airport.

The service was excellent right from the prompt airport pick-up until I drove off the lot. I didn’t have all the information I needed on my phone and the staff set up a phone call to retrieve it. They were very patient. I received a free car upgrade and they also told me that if I could return the car 2 hours earlier than previously arranged, it would be cheaper for me. I will definitely rent from here again.

Car rentals can be done in many places but the service that I received from Payless here is super great. Santhosh is the best. I can’t recommend enough for his service and professionalism.
