I just got treated like I was a scammer just because I wanted to cancel my pickup order that was ALREADY charged to my bank account and they started yelling at me and treating me like piece of crap even after showing them my bank was debited that amount and the guy actually confirming it. I am going to pursue this matter because it is outrageous they don't know their own online procedures. I did get charged when making the purchase online at the time of submitting my order. It is not the first time I've bought stuff at their site but it will be the last unfortunately. I will escalate this as far as I can.

Really helpful staff and good inventory. I don’t like going to the other locations because they often run out of what I want for my cat.

Friendly knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices, fairly accessible. Selection is a bit limited due to size but it's in a very convenient location so it's tough to complain

Given wrong info from clerks that cost me a lot of money. PetValu has a loyalty program and I’ve been coming here for 2 years. Multiple clerks have told me the cat food I buy would be ineligible, so don’t bother with signing up. Learned from clerks today I should be getting 5% off everything from that program! So I’ve missed $100’s of dollars in savings over the years from bad info given every single time that I’ve checked out here (probably every 2 months). Very frustrating and will consider other stores going forward after learning they misled me.

Update!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERERecently I went to give this place another try, and regrettably had another awful encounter with the staff member! While checking out he kept staring at me and so I tried to mention that this was the food I was asking about before .. his response was " Well we can start another argument about it if you want". I'm genuinely appalled by this employee's attitude and eagerness to argue with customers. Can not say it enough .. GO TO ANY OTHER LOCATIONAwful rude staff!!! Had an shockingly bad experience at this location .. I've been buying the same food "Performatrin Ultra Woodlands Ancient Grains Large Breed" for my dog for 3 years and have purchased at this location before.. During my last visit there were no bags on the shelf, I waited and asked a tall male member if they had anymore in the back or when they would be getting more in? and he immediately started arguing and talking over me saying how he's never heard of that, they've never had that flavour, he's worked here for 8 years and he would know. I pulled up what I was looking for on Google/my phone and showed him that it was sold at petvalu .. he kept saying the same things over and over, that they NEVER had that food. Finally he begrudgingly went over to the computer and asked for me phone number to look up my account and confirm my last purchase was at this store but his attitude was terrible and he kept repeating the same rude statements. At this point I was so fed up with how I was being spoken to that I simply said "nice customer service" and left and watched him storm around the store and back to the aisle we were in, clearly arguing with the other staff in the store.I went to another Petvalu down the Danforth, was able to find what I needed and had a good laugh with the staff about the previous experience and they were just as baffled as to why he would say those things and treat me that way. Highly recommend to avoid this spot (parking is a nightmare anyways) and go to any other petvalu location

I usually don't write these things, because what's the point, but this is the my neighbourhood pet store and maybe someone there will read this.Since I got my cats ten months ago I've spent likely near to two thousand dollars here and I'm getting pretty sick of the poor CUSTOMER SERVICE. Today was the third time when I've been astonished by the attitude of those who are supposed to help. I'm not an unreasonable guy, I worked in customer service for years and indeed it's tough, people suck, I get it.For those who to choose to ethically provide high quality food for their pets know how much of a dent it can put in your budget, so when there's a sale it only makes sense to capitalize on it. The last thing I would expect when purchasing two hundred plus worth of goods from a store is judgement. The sales rep, looking at the stack of cat food... "Oh my god!! How many cats do you have?!" -- I mean, what kind of question is that? Is it not okay that I'm buying products that you're providing? Are you the Humane Society Police making sure it's not Grey Gardens over here? And it wasn't just the asininity of the question but it was the blatantly judgemental tone in which it was delivered.How many cats do I have? None of your business. Why don't you help me bag up my goods because I just spent a bunch of dough and could use some assistance? Instead, when I clarified that there's a 20% sale and I'm taking advantage of it, the sales rep stormed away in a huff like a teenager told he couldn't borrow the car.As mentioned, this is the third time I've received reluctant and annoyed customer service. The last time, the fellow (different one) was shelving Greenies treats. He had a gigantic box of them on the ground next to him and was restocking them. The flavour I wanted was not on the shelf so I asked him if he had any in the box. Instead of politely saying, "No, unfortunately not. We should have some in...blah blah blah." He went stiff, looked at the shelf where they normally would be, looked back at me as if I was asking the most idiotic question anyone had ever asked ever and stated "NO." And went back to what he was doing. C'mon dude. I get it, I see what you're doing, I'm not trying to make your day hell, I'm literally trying to spend money at your store and take care of my cats.Maybe it's a terrible job for the service reps, I don't know. If it is, quit. But considering this is my neighbourhood store I would just love for it to be a pleasant experience to shop here.
