A huge thank you to the amazing mother–daughter duo at Pet Valu! After a long and stressful back-and-forth with my pet transport agency for our move out of Canada, they went above and beyond to help me find the perfect dog crate. Their attention to detail, thoughtful suggestions, and awareness of my needs really helped ease my anxiety. On top of that, they were incredibly flexible and accommodating when I had to make multiple returns along the way. Truly supportive, patient, and kind—I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for genuine care and customer service that goes the extra mile!

I took my dog to Pet Valu’s grooming service and was extremely disappointed. She came back dirty, with grey paws instead of her usual white she should normally have after a bath. The haircut was terrible, uneven everywhere, with random long and short patches, especially on her face. I even had to pay for extra time!! My dog doesn’t even look like herself anymore. This was not the professional grooming I expected.

As someone who spends a lot of money at this location It saddens me that I experienced something terrible today at the store. There was an employee didn’t catch his name that was accusing my dog of destroying toys. That wasn’t the case, though. I actually brought him in today because he destroyed one of the other toys that an employee that works there told me it was durable so I had to replace it. I was making sure that the next toy I got him by examining the stitching and durability. Rather than the employee asking me if I needed help with anything he instead approached me and his first question was do you plan on buying anything. I told him obviously I plan on buying something if I’ve been here for the past 10 minutes looking at different toys. He then made A snarky comment about are you gonna pay for the toys if your dog destroys them. I then stated I would obviously pay for any damages, but then change my mind and said you know what I’m not actually gonna give this establishment any more of my money. The way this employee handled the situation was extremely unprofessional and you just lost a repeated customer. Thank you.

Make sure you understand the refund policy and don’t trust what staff tell you. Just tried to return something a staff member told me could be returned but staff wouldn’t honour the return- even when I pointed out that I’d been told it was returnable.

The business hours indicate they close at 9pm on Wednesday but they were closed when I arrived at 8:14 pm. You do not mess with business hours

Amazing store and helpful staff. My foster cat had a finicky food allergy and the staff helped me look through all the foods they offered to find the perfect one. It wasn’t an easy task but they never lost patience. I’ve been a regular since. Some of them even offered advice about my cat’s behaviour. They’re truly pet loving staff. Have seen many faces but all were equally pleasant.
And the location+hours is an even bigger bonus.

The Pet Valu unit at young is, in my opinion, one of the best. Great service from all the employees, a good variety of products in all categories, including accessories, food, hygiene products and others.
The store is very spacious and always very organized.
In addition to all this, they have a great professional groomer, but you can also bathe your pet by renting the space and products. The establishment is close to the St Clair Est metro station and several shops.
For customers with disabilities, unfortunately the store does not have access ramps (it has steps to access the first floor) and does not have doors that open and close automatically.

So grateful for the staff at Pet Valu! I’m fostering a nervous puppy who pulls very hard on walks. I went it in to get a face halty but the staff - Treasure and Eduardo - took the time to help me find what I needed. They suggested a body halty would be better if the issue was pulling. They helped me find the right size and even showed me how to put it on my dog. And they were right! It works like a dream. They were also very sweet and attentive to my nervous pup and all around helpful. Thank you for your excellent customer’s service, the personal and kind care is so appreciated these days.
