This is a wonderful toy store with interactive and helpful staff. It is my go to everytime I visit Toronto and want to treat my little nieces. Thanks Playful Minds for helping an Aunt stay current and get gifts that brings smiles every time. I appreciate your help and understanding of what's current in the 4-7 year old world!

I bought a gift for a friend from this store. The delivery was very fast, and the toy was beautifully wrapped. It was a very pleasant shopping experience.

This is a great place to get gift ideas for children of all ages. The owner and staff helped us pick out excellent gifts for our grandchildren. They even wrapped them for us at no extra cost.

If this store ever left the neighbourhood, I don’t know what I would do! They have a great selection of high-quality toys, friendly staff, and have been there for us on pretty much every birthday (for our kid and others’) since we moved to the neighbourhood four years ago

I just wanted to add this to try and offset the very few negative reviews on here because i know that this is a great store. I have grown up with this toy store, and it was always a joy whenever my mom would tell me I could go and get Pokémon cards or a new Lego set for example, the excitement was through the roof. To me when I was younger and even now, walking through that door feels like being transported to a magical land of every kids dreams. My daughters are both in their 20s now but I still come here to purchase items when my nieces are over or I have a kids birthday or Christmas gift to purchase. The staff are always kind, knowledgeable and patient. The place is narrow and can become easily congested but the staff keeps it cool, calm and collected. I appreciate that plus the hace wrapping available if needed (how great is that) plus I always end up buying helium balloons lol. Side note: one year while I was in college I brought my kids to a Halloween party at wychwood barns. They had a raffle for a gift certificate for playful minds 200-250 I’m not sure which it was but I told my kids right when we got there that I had to buy tickets right away because I knew I was going to win. I don’t know how I knew but I told them god sees me in school, single parent and struggling. He’s going to let me win. I one lol. Had to share that. If you don’t shop here, please do. This shop is an absolute gem and keeps me coming back. There are plenty of fabulous products that you can tell have been carefully curated to bring a wide selection to ensure that every last inch of this store has no shortage of treasures to delight kids both big and small.

A cozy toy store, packed with both popular and unique items (including candy!) Add a welcoming staff and you get a local shop worthy of support.I was looking for rare Hot Wheels cars and was directed to a different brand. More larger and unique cars based from real life, I had to get them. Kids love 'em as well as I, a man-child that is very particular in my choices.I wrote a Google review about another local toy shop in Toronto that I won't name here. Pleasantly surprised when I entered Playful Minds. Both shops are like night and day...Playful Minds is the bright, sunny, happy place, ideal to bring your kids to. While the other, "Terminally Ill Toy Store, Queen of the West" is the dark, deathly night where trolls follow you around without a peep, hoping for a reason to chase you away ...or eat your children, I'm still not sure what their deal is.I will definitely shop here again and suggest my family and friends to do so as well, maybe even people I don't like very much.
