Easy to understand why there are so many negative reviews aimed towards this location, when there are only two chains serving the City, one is left with little or no choice! The front of this store is fine, well stocked and the staff do try to be helpful. The self checkout is a good addition. As for the pharmacy, I chose to get my prescriptions filled elsewhere, in my experience the wait times for service were much too long.

went in right at 5pm on a weekday and didn’t wait at all - understandably they have busier times but these pharmacists blew me away with their compassion and care, taking time to explain insurance & prescription questions with patience. this is now my go-to pharmacy since moving to the area and I feel grateful for that! thanks for the work yall do while being understaffed and having to juggle prioritising patient care according to different med type. truly appreciated. they’re doing their best folks

They stopped answering the pharmacy phone over 3 years ago. Waste of time trying to call them. They still use fax to get prescriptions - and about 30% of the scripts have to be resent probably they ran out of fax paper ;) - it’s a joke for a company to operate like this in the modern eraGet with the times

The pharmacy at this location is a disgrace. I find the pharmacist by the name of Tatiana very rude. She talks over you and always blames mistakes on others and complains about the lack of staff. Nobody here will ever answer the phone, I’ve tried calling at least 50 times and not once has anyone ever answered. One time after being on hold for so long from my home, I hopped into my car and drove to the pharmacy while I remained on hold. I walked in and hovered around the pharmacy desk for at least 5 minutes and there were no customers yet 2 of the staff refused to answer the phone. I went up to the counter and showed the pharmacist my phone and how I have been on hold for over 40 minutes. She made up lies and said they were busy with customers prior to me walking in. They have made so many mistakes with my medications. On one occasion it took them over three weeks to fill one of my prescriptions. This pharmacy does not care about you and your medical needs. Go elsewhere, this pharmacy is terrible and I am not surprised by the 2.3 rating.

Called to speak to the pharmacist regarding common ailments, waited on hold for 6 min. Then, someone from the pharmacy answered and couldn't answer my question. She put me on hold another 3 times to ask the pharmacist. I still didn't get my questions answered, and she kept giving me information that was not relevant and finally telling me I am not eligible even though I am. I would not recommend calling this location.

Hire more pharmacy staff for Saturday. The two ladies this morning were swamped with customers. I felt bad for them. The owner needs to stop being a cheapskate put more staff in there on the weekend. You're going to lose employees if you burn them out.

I assure you the 1 rating is the most because a lower rating is not an option to pick, clearly no one at this location cares about a customer satisfaction score.Employees need to retrain on prescription refill dates because I’m convinced they do this to everyone, when you have a prescription with a 30 day refill and there are 31 days in a month the refill date will change yet Im told I’m early…………… no one n this pharmacy understand this… I’ve written two reviews EVER in my life and both are for this store I feel compelled to do It because of the incompetence of this staff……

I've had a number of disappointing experiences with the pharmacy at 2440 Dundas W. I walked in with a note for a prescription and was told I'd have to return the next day to pick it up. I returned the next day and was told I'd still have to wait an additional 20 min. for it to be prepared. 30 minutes later, when I received the prescription, I was a bit surprised to see it was a pre-packaged item off the shelf!And then there is the 10 minute wait for the pharmacy to answer the phone.

The store front is great. I love the rotation of seasonal items. The staff are always nice, though there aren't ever many of them working at once.The pharmacy, however, leaves something to be desired. The poor pharmacy workers are so understaffed. The pharmacy is almost always busy, but one or two people are trying to do everything behind the counter. There is constantly an announcement over the loud speakers that there is a phone call for the pharmacy, but I've never seen them answer the phone once. I hope I never have to call!Shoppers, stop being cheap and pay people to properly staff your store!

The most mismanaged and disorganized pharmacy I've been to. To be clear I don't blame the workers, they seem overworked and badly managed, no one seems to know whose responsibility is what. In the few months I've gone here:-They have told me scripts were filled when they weren't, and failed to fill scripts that were requested multiple times-Somehow deleted my profile info on the shoppers website so I can't book online anymore, and won't even try to solve that issue-Made me wait an hour for a vaccine appointment even tho I booked in advance, because someone neglected to put my name on the list when I checked in-Can't figure out my insurance and won't bother-For some reason changed the spelling of my name on the account so that it's now spelled wrongThe place is always very busy yet seems to either not have enough staff, or just has a terrible system of organization. Probably both. I will be switching pharmacies. This place clearly needs new management.

The level of incompetency here is staggering. If I had another option for a pharmacy that was in the same vicinity, I would gladly switch.Edit. So after trying to call the pharmacy all day, I finally spoke to someone on the general line and expressed my frustrations with not being able to reach anyone at the pharmacy. After trying to call himself, he told me he also couldn't get through and then proceeded to hang up on me. Why even have a phone number attached to this location if no one bothers to answer.Further edit. The actual staff are really nice and very helpful and knowledgeable. However they are grossly understaffed for such a busy location.If management is reading this. Double the staff at this location now! It's not fair to either the staff or the customers what's happening here.

I moved and switched to this Shoppers pharmacy. It used to be okay, but this year has been frustrating. It seems the pharmacy staff are consistently understaffed and overworked. My prescriptions are not eligible for auto-refill either, and I give enough time to get refills but they still aren't ready. I've even waited in person when I am out, but wait so long. For years I've even been signed up for drug shortage emails to anticipate issues. I've tried to be patient but need to switch pharmacies.*** Update: my final prescription at this location was FILLED WITH THE WRONG DOSAGE. I called my doctor and confirmed the Dr refilled the correct dosage. THIS IS NOT OKAY.

I have never left a bad review anywhere before but I will be switching pharmacies. My last experience at this location was the final straw.I have been going to this Shoppers since moving to the area three years ago — the only reason why I have continued to pick up my medication here is because it is close to where I live. Wait times are long and it’s incredibly difficult to get in touch with anyone for assistance or to get one’s health needs to be taken seriously. I understand that pharmacies are busy, but there has been an issue with pretty much every single prescription pick-up I have ordered since coming to this location.I have experienced medication withdrawal several times due to mixups and delays on the part of the pharmacy — this last time the pharmacy completely deleted my prescription renewal request from its system without any kind of notification. I contacted the pharmacy several times to request a renewal request manually and was told it would be completed without any request being sent to my doctor. I finally contacted the pharmacy again and explained that it was an urgent situation as I was nearing the end of my prescription. I requested an emergency dose of three days to last me the weekend because my doctor’s office is closed, and had to wait on the phone for an hour to be told they wouldn’t be able to fill the medication. After explaining the situation again for the third time on the same phone call, an emergency dose was finally filled and I was told to pick it up an hour later. When I arrived to the pharmacy, I was condescendingly told by the person at the counter that I should “request refills further in advance”. When I attempted to explain the situation AGAIN (that I sent a prescription renewal request, called several times to manually request one, etc) I was interrupted and told it was not the pharmacy’s fault, and was asked if I had an Optimum Card…It’s not the wait or even the mixups that bother me particularly, but that issues are dismissed by staff or placed onto the patient. This was not my responsibility. Staff seem completely unwilling to help clients, even when they are experiencing health impacts because of the pharmacy’s disorganization. The neglect of this particular pharmacy is frankly dangerous. “Care” here has been extremely anxiety-provoking, frustrating, and concerning. I will be switching to a different pharmacy in the neighborhood and would strongly advise others to do avoid this one if they can.

Pharmacy staff overworked and always shortage of staff, the other employees do not care and they would simply tell you that they dont have what you are looking for… worst part is their manager… incompetent the least

Clean, good sized, lot's of parking. Friendly service. I never used the drugstore, so I don't know about that.
