Wayne is the ideal guy I want working on my car. He talks fast, knows his shit, and explains everything with grace and honesty. Spadina Auto is by far the best garage I've been to in the city.

OK hear me out...
My car (Honda accord coupe) broke down in the middle of the 427 due to a clutch failure. I towed it with CAA to Wayne's place at Spadina Auto on Strachan Ave. (Been going to him for 13 years now) and he had cleared out a perfect spot for the tow to easily drop the car off without disturbing street traffic (this is downtown Toronto btw).
I was worried because this car is my baby, love it to death, but I felt confident leaving it in Wayne's hands.
After discussing whether or not I wanted to sell the car I told Wayne that I'd like to repair it, as I was still making payments on it and he understood but warned me the price could be high.
Well it was. That's why I want you to hear me out...
Wayne may be a bit more expensive than other mechanics but he takes the time and care needed to make your car perfect again. The repairs he did have literally made it feel like I'm driving a brand new car. He shows pictures of all the work he does and explains why it's important for him to take time instead of just pump and dumping your repairs.
I am truly grateful for the care he puts into his work and want that to be what stands out in this review. He's a professional mechanic, genuine guy (may come off as a bit of a smooth talker but that's his character), and he's passionate about what he does. Yes you may pay a bit more than other quick shops but I honestly can't believe how great my car feels now. Worth the money.

First time we went we received fast service and they just changed our oil. Mechanic mentioned something felt off about the breaks and to bring it back so he can take a proper look . Took it back and didnt hear back from him for 5 days. Once we finally got him to answer the phone was quoted $1600 for calipers (parts only no labour) . Got a second opinion and had my calipers refirbished in 30 minutes and was on my way. They tried to scam me out of almost $2000 for unneccesary work. Please be careful here and get a second oppinion if something doesnt sound right.

Update 2024 - my Tesla had a flat and Wayne at Spadina helped me resolve it the same day. Helped me with strategies on using CAA towing, sending spare tires via Uber etc. Excellent problem solving, affordable and efficient service.
Had punctured tire in 2019. Got spare put up buy CAA. Then drove to Spadina Auto Inc. Within an hour, they patched up the puncture. Really good work.

Spoke to Wayne on the phone about an issue. The free advice he gave me was amazing. He did this with no self interest and was not concerned about making money. It is refreshing to see someone today who is honest and trustworthy and gives great advice.
