Ordered from them online. The book was very thoughtfully packed for shipping and arrived in perfect condition. Thanks!

Great (online) store! They have stock of hard-to-find or sold out mangas and everything is priced appropriately. My first order with them arrived in pretty good condition and it arrived within 3 business days. Customer service is very polite too! Helped me with a delivery problem and claimed fault for a misunderstanding.
My only complaint is the amount of time it takes to place an online order and have it be processed. I’ve placed my second order with them on November 8 but it still hasn’t been processed yet and now it’s November 12. I understand they’re busy but I just wish it was quicker.
Other than that, I can definitely recommend this store especially for manga. Great selection, good prices especially if you get a set. Arrives in way better condition than Amazon because they package their stuff very well. Just their online orders take a very long time to process.

Next to the shop I work in, this is my favourite Comics Shop in the world. If you’re an Indy comics fan, this is heaven. Peter and his staff work diligently to make obscure items available, and they build the comics community in Toronto. Thank you for bringing in special guests like Dan Clowes, Charles Burns, Seth, and others. It means so much to so many. Keep up the great effort!

I wanted to come in, but then saw an angry looking person with a mask outside and a giant poster saying that they still require masks in 2024. This is really sad. Most small businesses went through many hard times for 3 years due to the unnecessary government mandates which were trying to ruin us. I understand that many places didn't have a choice and didn't want to risk bad publicity and fines during the mandates after suffering already, so it is gross to see a fellow small business owner going above and beyond to push his or her political agenda on everyone else when they don't have to.
It seems to me that the owner of this business is either missing their power trip, where they all got to yell at people and attack them for not agreeing with them, or is genuinely scared of getting sore throat and sniffles, so they force everyone to cover their faces. Whichever of this is true, these people shouldn't be running a business that deals directly with the public, and maybe look into finding some job where you get to work from home and never leave your house, so you don't catch anything and, you know, stay safe save lives instead of trying to force everyone to submit to their irrational fears? You guys are clearly not qualified for this job.
Anyway, it was a Saturday afternoon and barely anyone was there, and I see lots of negative reviews regarding masks. I'm so glad that, since the mandates have been dropped, us, as consumers, get to vote with our money and not spend it at places like this. Fortunately, Toronto is a big city with so many options, I would much rather go to a similar business that is run by good people who actually care and respect others and welcome everyone, instead of a place like this that is clearly run by people on a power trip who keep peddaling their agenda and trying to bully everyone who doesnt agree with them. I hope you go out of business.

Best comic book store in Toronto? Most definitely.
Best comic book store in *the world*? Just might be.

Really great comics shop in Downtown Toronto. Excellent selection, with some really good deals on used trade paperbacks and omnibuses. Staff is polite, friendly, and helpful.
And they have a mandatory mask policy in-store if you have any concerns about safety in that regard.
I absolutely would return the next time I’m in town.

I’ve been to 10+ countries in the past year. This is the only place anywhere that still thinks anyone wears a mask in 2024 let alone requires them.

It's 2024 and these idiots are still asking everyone to mask up. I wonder if they wear helmets before they step outside... Afraid of their own shadow.

They have nearly everything. If you don't see it, ask; they likely have it stored elsewhere due to limited floor space. I also really appreciate that everyone is masked (mask provided for free, if you don't have your own), as the space is not large and doesn't have AC. Always fun to browse the new release shelves and recommendations, too.

Great selection of comics, so-so staff and absolutely abysmal pricing.
It's one thing to have all your books be marred by horrible pricing stickers that take ages to remove, but those that lack said stickers should maintain their original price. It's completely insane (and probably illegal) to have books priced at 7 CAD only to then be charged anything from 15 to 20 CAD. If you're going to charge a different amount than cover price, the least you could do is make it clear what each book's price is. I got (in my opinion), overcharged around 45CAD plus the corresponding tax and there are certainly a few comics I wouldn't have picked had I known how much they actually cost.
Mandatory-mask-wearing aside (which I wasn't even that annoyed by, even if it does feel strange in 2024), having an employee act very confrontational over what was very clearly an honest mistake and couldn't be interpreted otherwise was confounding and off-putting.
Yes, their comics selection is great, and you can find some great deals and comics that would otherwise be hard to get your hands on, but the in-shop experience leaves much to be desired. Were there to be some actual competition in the alt-comix space, I wouldn't be surprised if they found themselves losing a significant part of their clientele.
