The Emmet Ray Whisky Jazz Bar is a perfect, cozy neighbourhood bar and a great destination for a whole night. It is an incredibly comfortable, inviting, and accepting place that feels like hanging out at a friend’s house. The bar offers great food, including delicious comfort food like warm olives, hummus, Brussels sprouts, steak and fries, pasta, and an amazing chicken sandwich. The service is incredibly friendly and helpful, with knowledgeable bartenders. It features live music all the time, with multiple shows per night performed by insanely talented musicians and bands, offering incredible vocals and amazing musicianship. There is a perfectly reasonable cover charge. The layout has no separation between the music room and the rest of the bar, allowing guests to sit at the bar or at tables farther back to hear the music while having a less formal experience and freedom to talk. The whiskey selection is large without being overwhelming, carefully curated, with a full menu of clear pricing. The atmosphere provides a great vibe for enjoying a beverage and having conversations. It is a place with a clean bathroom and comfortable seating, where there is no obligation to buy food. The Emmet Ray is considered the best neighbourhood bar, delivering an excellent experience that comes highly recommended.
