One of the greater Walmarts, but one with very lacking quality control, and care. Every single Cashier's food balance is inaccurate, and charges more than it weighs, and they know, yet never bother to have it fixed. Also to note and agree with, the lack of diversity in a sense at this Walmart is noticeable, in my opinion it does not impact me as much, but I do see the bias it creates, and the issues around it, and a majority of the issues at this Walmart is caused by this, espically with quality control and sanitation. Makes you think your not in Canada anymore almost. Canada was known as multipul cultures working together, but not here.

On November 26, 2023,my sister and I came to this Walmart thinking it was going to be a quick trip to get some essentials and a few food items, but it ended up being the most traumatic Walmart trip of our lives. We live in very close proximity to this location and our family shops here all the time. On this day, within a couple minutes of entering the store, my sister noticed we were being so closely and obviously followed by these 2 men pretending to shop, which we were later made aware by one of the managers named Mike that they were “floor walkers”. However, my sister and I were unaware that floor walkers even existed before this trip. I did at first assume that they were working for Walmart to prevent theft, but my sister being a very hyperaware and very anxious person thought that they were dangerous people trying to follow us. My sister approached one of them and asked if they were following us to which he responded no and laughed. At this point, my sister is very scared and wants to leave the store asap because she is getting an uneasy feeling about being followed. My sister rushes me to go to the self-checkout and as I was about to start scanning our items this loud alarm goes off that's piercing our ears and because we’re already in this heightened state of panic we don't scan any of our items and we leave our bags with the items at the self-checkout, and we start to walk out of the store. At the front door we get stopped and cornered by a woman named Darshika and the security guard along with 2 other men. Darshika approaches us in a very hostile manner and is essentially accusing us of trying to steal. Her whole basis for the confrontation was that we left without our bags, but when we were trying to explain to her why we did so, she was not listening to what we had to say and was trying to find holes in our story, saying things like “if you were scared why didn’t you find security or call the police?”. I told her we wanted to finish cashing out, but then we were going to go to the security guard at the front of the store and tell him our experience, then ask him to walk us to our car, but we couldn’t do so because the alarm went off causing a lot of anxiety for both my sister and I, so we decided to leave abruptly without purchasing our items because of how scared we were. She then proceeds to say, “what does the alarm have to do with why you left the bags?”. At this point, my sister and I are very emotional and upset, so we stormed out of the store. The interaction was longer, but it was going nowhere besides us being falsely accused of attempting to steal. There was no trying to sympathize or listen to what we had to say coming from their end. My sister and I had never been in a situation like this before and it had us shaken up. About 30 minutes later we returned with our guardians and want to speak with the security team and manager, but the interaction doesn’t give us the resolution we were hoping for, so here we are writing this. Mike the customer service experience manager was cooperative and we felt handled the situation with more respect than the other employees we came across at this location, but in the end we were still escorted out without a proper resolution or explanation just a bunch of excuses.

We weren’t upset that the floor walkers were doing their job, but here are the reasons why we were upset:(1) This goes for all Walmart locations, but these “floor walkers” seem to be following people they deem to be suspicious, which leaves the door wide open for them to act on their own biases. For context, my sister and I were wearing hoodies and are black, so who’s to say that didn’t have something to do with why we were being followed the second we walked into the store. Also, my sister and I prior to this situation didn’t even know Walmart had these floor walkers, which is why we misread the situation and became on edge when these 2 strange men were closely following 2 young girls.(2) We did not steal, so why were we stopped at the front door? Darshika stopped us, cornered us, and interrogated us with hostility and without introducing herself. All we did was leave our bags at the self-checkout and “ran out” of the store so they said, but we didn’t steal and had no intentions to, so why were we stopped and made to feel like criminals. We did not have any bags with us as we were exiting and it was an entire group that approached us not just 1 employee asking us to look at a receipt like their usual protocol. We got the criminal treatment.(3) Our perception of this encounter was completely different than those employees at Walmart and that’s what they failed to understand. We didn’t think they were looking at us as potential thieves, but instead we thought these 2 random men were going to follow us into the parking lot and harm us. Mike mentioned how there were misunderstandings, but that should’ve been realized before we were treated like criminals. This Walmart location has a flawed anti-theft system that needs to be reviewed, fixed, and better executed and one that doesn’t leave space for discriminatory bias. We will NOT be returning here to shop for the foreseeable future. We would rather drive 100km to another location than to come back here and go through a TRAUMATIC experience like this again.PLEASE DO BETTER!

Unprofessional untrained security team. Mean and rude customer service with a lack of communication and they team up to bully their customers.I was shopping for light groceries, I first hit cosmetics because I knew I would take longest in there, and when I was in a different isle one lady came up and accused me of shoplifting. In the past I was let go from the cosmetics isles to pay everything together by other staff and assumed this was normal. When I went into a different isle this lady comes up and asks if I’m going to pay. Being shocked I go to cosmetics and pay for the items and was escorted out to be told not to come back again for no reason but the fact they assumed I was stealing. This is outrageous and they need to up their staff professionalism instead of hiring lowlifes that make lives harder for those around them.NOT satisfied.

I ordered on line. Te item was delivered to this store in the morning, but no notification received to pick up my item as of 5:38 pm. Called customer service and they put me on hold for 40 minutes. I called from home phone and the same thing happened. I was unable to talk to customer service. Hope management takes note of these 2 departments (Order pick up and Customer Service). I will have to think twice before ordering on line. My previous experiences for oo line orders were OK. So something new has happened in this Stockyard store.

While working as a delivery driver at Walmart, I've encountered racial discrimination. The grocery delivery waiting time consistently exceeds an hour, and despite staff assurances, orders aren't promptly prepared. There's a noticeable lack of concern for drivers. I recall waiting for two hours for a $25 order. What's particularly unfair is the observed preference for orders given to drivers of Indian descent, suggesting a deeper issue with the work culture, especially in this specific Walmart branch. It's essential for Walmart to investigate and address these concerns.

I do grocery pick up every single week. When I started about a year ago; it was seamless. Now, multiple order items that have been paid for are not delivered. Try calling the store, no answer. Call customer service and are met with representatives who genuinely cannot assist nor provide answers. 7 business days for a refund lol, it’s getting out of hand.

My wife and I moved into the area a couple of years ago, and had our first child earlier this year.I shop at Walmart fairly regularly, and today a team member went above and beyond.Mike, the associate that helped me today, found the product in the back (kids Muskoka chairs), got it priced, and got it all ready for us. He was diligent, thoughtful and kind. We'll be back!

I attended this location on Friday night to grab a couple items was probably in the store for 15 minutes. I was followed the entire time by the floor walker I believe I was stereotyped because I was alone with my 3 children + I am black. Every aisle I went he followed me, even through the check out line I seen him watching me from a far. Not every black person steals. I will never attend this store again due to this. I could understand if I was doing something suspicious but I wasn’t it was me my toddlers and daughter buying diapers, juice and crackers. Walmart do better!!!!

I caught several staff shouting racist and misogynistic slurs at a customer, and then I heard them attempt to file a false police report about this customer! When I asked the staff what did they do? The staff pointed at clearly undamaged merchandise and said it’s damaged. When I asked them to show where the customer affected the item, they could not identify any actual damage. So I told them that we is rude and if I see law enforcement I will advise them the staff have filed a false report. As it turns out, the store was subsequently fined for their actions and I heard from a regularCustomer they do that all the time. Attn: staff: if you hate your job you should quit and stop wasting customers time.

I was at the Walmart, Stockyards location this evening and witnessed the assistant manager, Mike screaming and berating a very hard working employee. Mike then proceeded to scream at me, the customer, and acted in a very threatening and unprofessional manner. This incident will be escalated to head office and I suggest the employees who have been negatively affected by Mike file a Human Rights Application against him, as I personally witnessed several violations, including workplace harassment and labour laws being broken. It was a disgusting incident to witness and the employees and myself deserve a formal written apology, and I think Mike needs some more training on customer service and employee relations: I am disgusted at his behaviour to say the least. This is completely unacceptable and I will make it my life goal to see that consequences are handed to this disgusting excuse for a human being. This google review is only step one. Emailing head office and contacting the appropriate government entities is next. Stay tuned….

DO NOT BUY BALLOONS HERE!!!! I bought 17 regular blue balloons and two number balloons all with heillium. The balloons are dropping/falling from ceiling in less than 24 hour! Waste of money and time! Better off going to Canadian Tire where they lasted 2 weeks for me. There was two people helping me a woman and a man, the man grabbed some balloons and started filling them but filled them much smaller than the size the woman was filling them. All the smaller ones that he filled are dropping. I called Walmart and they told me balloons are final sale. Waste of $50!

A very well managed store with great selection of products at very competitive prices (to save money, I really check out every stores around this area so I know where to save my money). Keep an eye for their wonderful weekly specials which will save you a lot of money. The staffs are friendly and helpful. If there is anything the store manager could do to make it even better would be:1. Add more organic vegetables to the offering. (Your organic Spring Mix salad is more pricey than Nations Fresh Foods).2, Make sure your self check out machines work (The percentage of the machines are out of services is WAY TOO HIGH.)Overall I am very grateful to have this Walmart Supercentre here.
