“I really enjoyed visiting the Varley Art Gallery of Markham. Located on historic Main Street in Unionville, it’s a peaceful and welcoming place to explore Canadian art and contemporary exhibitions. Admission is free, which makes it even better. The gallery is named after F. H. Varley, a founding member of the Group of Seven. The gallery officially opened in 1997, following a generous donation and vision from Kathleen Gormley McKay, who had a close connection with Varley and helped establish the collection. (Varley Art Gallery) The exhibitions change throughout the year, so there’s always something new to discover. I especially liked the calm atmosphere and the way the artwork is presented. It’s not a huge gallery, but it’s thoughtfully curated and makes for a lovely cultural stop while exploring Unionville. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Markham or exploring Main Street Unionville. Highly recommended!”

He has a deep cultural and historical understanding of the art form he specializes in and promotes art education to the next generation. His unique and traditional art form carries through many eras and styles. You MUST experience these masterpieces. There is more than meets the eye and the depth and artistry is exquisitely meaningful and expressive. Please be mindful of the dedication of the artist to the artist's work and originality. No photos are allowed within the studio but prints are available for purchase.”
