Went into the branch to make a payment on my auntie line of credit held at Scotiabank, there was a hold on my account on a certified cheque (mortgage proceeds)deposited from a law firm, I told the teller I need to pay out the line of credit because it’s costing over $50 dollars a day in interest and the funds is the account with a hold on it, I told her she can keep the hold on because I just wanted not to pay interest for the 3 remaining days, anyways after a few back and forth the supervisor Suzie said I should go to my branch, she will not do the transaction because of the amount mind you I am staff for over 30 years with the bank… I was disappointed because sometimes common sense needs to prevailed over policy because I did not want any physical cash I told them to keep the hold on it.., maybe you guys needs to know who the real fraudster is, surely not a staff with that much years with the bank

This one branch makes me want to move all my accounts elsewhere. Terrible service and the business hours are just embarrassing for a bank that supposedly supports businesses.

Absolutely horrible experience with Wasaga Beach branch ! I tried for 2 days to get in touch with the bank manager, finally get her extension number , left her a brief message at 10 am on Friday Dec 22 of what I needed to speak with her about, and asked if she could call me asap ! She did not return my call , so I called back 3 more times , the last call at 2:45 pm I get her answering machine saying she is now out of the office till January 2 2024 . I guess us little guys are not important to that branch ! Thinking of changing branches !!!

What a terrible bank. So, my husband and I have been with Scotiabank over 40 year's. He's a truck driver that had been with the same company. That company pays him in the form of a cheque, it's a farming company he has worked for years with , we have had it with Scotia holding his paycheck when we have bills elsewhere to pay. We have never bounced or missed payments until COVID. He is our on the roadday 3 with no food or $$ as Scotia had put a hold . We are closing our accounts as we now are in arrears elsewhere because of this bank!!!! Shame on the management who said the hold would be off today. No answers or callbacks

Update required for hours. Hours state that this location is open till 3pm, but arrived to find it closed and not open at all on Saturday. This is a lack of respect to the clients time.

Not a very good banking experience. Teller staff judge by appearance and very belligerent. Will not listen to you, and will talk over you to bully their stance. We have been customers of scotia for years and always treated with respect at our home branch. However at the Wasaga Branch the staff are small minded.

Great bank. I’ve been with them for years. Has a very friendly small town feel. You’ll never see lines here like you do at the TD on the other side of town.

Very nice staff. Why Can't you simply get through to the branch by phone. We have to actually DRIVE to the branch in order to speak to someone. Ridiculous in our opinion. The wait on the frustrating phone system after you go through all the listening and steps you are then on hold for at least 10 minutes. I just end up hanging up in frustration each time. Get in the car and drive 15 minutes to the branch. I can't image how seniors in our community deal with this. AND My pet peeve with banks is they feel they have to ask personal questions about your day etc. and chat while there is a mile long line up. TD has this mandate of their tellers and it is so annoying. You see seniors who have difficulty standing for long waits and the staff should pick up on this and move things along instead of asking personal questions to their clients. It's just banking after all and everyone is there because they can't do their business at the machine and want to get in and out as soon as possible. Having now vented! I do want to stress that the staff is very helpful and kind and will ask someone else if they don't have the answer so you get your business done and are satisfied from that standpoint. Much better than TD in Wasaga where they are sometimes simply rude and make you feel like you are bothering them. Thank you Scotia...I changed accounts due to your good staff and Manager.

Def the most helpful, kindest staff of all the branches (& different banks) I've been to.
They should be the ones to use the phrase from McDs, "Smiles are free" :) ;)
