Be aware of membership scam by bestbuy. The employee of the bestbuy who sold membership plan told you can cancel anytime without a hassle and today I called the customer care and asked them to cancel my membership as I have never avail their technical support. To my surprise even if you cancel membership you owe us one year membership fee. I was not educated by your employee who is selling the plan and what does cancel means to you when you are paying full price for what. I felt like I have been looted because I visited bestbuy and a student employee doesn't walk through what you are entitled to pay. I lost interest in bestbuy.

My laptop started making a funny noise a little after a month of having it. I brought it here and they brought it to the Geek Squad to see what was wrong. They could not find the reason for the issue but they did not want me to take a possibly broken computer so they offered to exchange it. I am super appreciative since it was past the return deadline and they also called to the other store for me to put one on hold since they had none in stock.

Don’t come here if you want any kind of service, wandered around the laptop section trying to get someone’s attention while all 4 employees on the floor ignored me and avoided eye contact. Immediately found what I was looking for elsewhere.

Went in for a new phone, with a specific older model in mind. The staff was able to leverage some deals/promos to get the newest version of that model for cheaper than the old one would have been, as well as upgrade my plan for lots more data and basically no extra cost. Nency and Jeremy were very helpful and knowledgeable.

Been to Waterloo Best Buy twice in the last month and neither time did any staff member approach me to offer assistance even though there were many staff members in the store, but they appeared to be too busy socializing with one another. Since service doesn’t exist at this BB location, 0 stars is more accurate than the 1 star I had to give it in order to post this review.

I did buy a laptop from this store, and the person was helping me said that if you’re going to take the membership you’ll get discount and you can cancel it after 6 months, I was new in canada and i took it, after 6 months i went there and he said i never said that it was for a year at least so I’m still paying for the membership being a student and nothing’s helping.

Was sold a monthly membership, staff said it can be cancelled anytime for free. He lied to me, it costs $180 to cancel the membership before having paid for a year. Best buy refuses to take responsibility. Unbelievable. Go somewhere else if you have the option.

Bought a JBL 9.1 soundbar and subwoofer for $1500 on Jan 29th and the sub did not work. I brought the receipt with the serial number, and the merchandise with the matching numbers on them. I was told by sr. Customer service rep Nigel that he would not return the merchandise bcs I did not have the box and treated like I was trying to do something illegal. The box was thrown away bcs it was torn apart. Out the money and have a defective subwoofer. Horrible experience

Horrible expereince, ordered items from this location that were out of stock and delivery only, all 3 items over 7 days late dispite paying for shipping on one prodcut to speed it up, contact the store and was told nothing they can do to help becuase its an on line purchase, all through 3rd parties, no offer of any help, then i contacted the online service and this was worse than the in store expereince - no one cares about cusotmer service - PERIOD!!!!!

The protection plan is a total scam... brought my phone here with a broken charging port, they would not take it at the location to fix, OR offer me a loaner phone. So basically, they stole my money for a "protection" plan for months only for me to have to buy a brand new phone anyway. All that money down the drain. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had anywhere. I would really like to be contacted about this because it is really unfair to treat your customers this way after taking their money for a protection plan on a phone, but doing absolutely NOTHING when I bring it into the store broken.

Made a tablet purchase on market place recently. BEWARE that the return policy may not be the same as Best Buy. Wish the seller or Best Buy made clear on each item listed on the website to prevent disappointment and negative experience.
