It has been about a year and a half since I started my fitness journey at Movati, and it has truly brought fun and positive changes to my daily life. I would like to sincerely appreciate everyone who has made my time at Movati so meaningful. I begin my days with smiles from the friendly and welcoming staffs.

This gym is a joke. Forcing people to take off their winter boots at the entrance is unprofessional and shows you have no idea how to keep a facility clean. The machines are filthy, the showers stink, and the women’s washroom constantly reeks of sewage. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I really enjoy my visits to Movati — the staff are always so friendly. I’m not in peak athletic form by any means, but I’ve found classes and instructors that actually motivate me to show up and move.
If you want fun workouts that won’t overwhelm you, try Emily S.’s aqua bootcamps — her workouts are run in sets so you never get bored and they are a great, low-impact way to get your heart going. Or dance it out for an hour in Lauren V.’s Zumba class — learns some great moves while working up a serious sweat. If you canoe, kayak, or just want to tone your upper torso, the Drums class with Lauren or Emily is super fun too.
And when you need a little TLC, Restorative and other yoga classes with Julie Z. or Eva J. are wonderful. I’m sure there are lots of other great instructors, but these are my go-tos for now — along with the women's only exercise room, pool, sauna, and steam room!

If you are looking for a gym that is good for working professionals, this isn’t the gym for you.
This used to be a good place, but it has recently (this year) become a college-gym. Things aren’t being maintained as fast anymore, the gym is regularly packed, machines are typically occupied either by people supersetting the gym or by people texting for 10 minutes at a time without doing a set.
For the price, it’s simply not worth it l. It used to be a great place that working professionals could come to and feel safe around others of the same group — but now it’s just overpriced with no incentive.

I registered with Movati 2.5 years ago. At the time of registration, I was a high school student. Although I specifically requested to register under a student membership/rate, I was instead registered as a standard/normal member. Because of this, they required me to pay a cancellation fee, which I believe is unjust since I should have been on a student contract, Following the initial issue, I did not pay the cancellation fee because I disputed the membership type. As a result, that amount has now increased to $600 (likely due to unpaid monthly fees and/or late fees). They are now demanding that I pay this increased amount.

I just joined the Functionally Fit class . I live it, but wish it was an hour long. It seems too rushed to cover everything.
15 minutes more would allow more explanation and individual help if needed.

Ewa is one off best teacher in Movati . I have to say and give 30 stars. She work hard,treat as all with respect, caring for each person. We all love her classes. I also should mention Thrin,and Ana. With those girl Movati is the best. Menadgmet has the let know best people that we love them and coming to this place because of them. Ewa you are the best!

Member at Waterloo Movati since September.
Things have been good until last week when I witnessed this woman that was working out and went in the jacuzzi wearing her workout clothes, no shower.
I was in the jacuzzi as she entered and I got out as fast as I could.
I brought this up to the their attention at the front desk right away, I was told they were going to send a female staff there to look into it.
I also immediately emailed them about the situation as well.
Never got a reply (it was a week ago), to acknowledge my email and maybe let me know what it has been done about it.
Unsanitary and unacceptable situation that makes me not wanting to go there again.

I've had the pleasure of training with Aaron since the fall and he's very committed, knowledgeable and he listened to my goals and setup a plan that works great for me. The gym is a nice space, plenty of equipment and friendly staff. The pool, hot tub and sauna are great bonuses and there are lots of classes to pick from.

Movati Waterloo hit a new all-time low. I pay for towel service. 2 towels. But was only given one because “we are really short on towels tonight”. Give me a break this is ridiculous. Will I get compensated for this? Definite no. The steam room and sauna break all the time. The front desk are always rude about asking for towels. Honestly, if you don’t need a pool go elsewhere.
