Worst service ever I went there to get my Immigration letter which shows proof of funds in my bank account. I wanted a letter from them which shows my own hard earned money in my account for that she asked me for the ID proof I showed her my Canadian ID proof which I feel is enough to get letter which indicates my own funds in my account but after that she asked me for my passport at that time I was amazed I thought Canadian IDs exist so no one has to carry their passports with them but luckily I had my passport so I showed her my passport too. Later on she asked me for my work permit which is surely not necessary to just get a letter from a bank where I have kept my hard earned money. I felt very bad and frustrated and cherry on the top that attendant lady firstly didn’t have the format for that letter and was not even able to use Microsoft word properly she was struggling with it for 45 mins. I wasted my 45 mins in this branch I hope you guys will not do that.

This bank has absolutely no customer service. If I need customer service I will go to the Royal Bank branch on the corner of King Street and university

Saturday. One CSR and one CSR manager (on the phone). I hear the CSR tell her client she has to call their manager because they are not at the branch??! Three people in line for service. In the 15 minutes we stood there, not one acknowledgement from staff to, at the bare minimum, let us know they appreciate our patience. I was advised to open an TFSA for my daughter by our RBC advisor. Go to any branch that is most convenient. This location was a no go. Guess our investments won't be helping this location hit their investment target this quarter. Customer service matters. Acknowledging a potential client that is waiting for help can turn into a $10k investment plus more.

DO NOT USE THIS BANK!!! They do not want to help, nor go out of their way to assist you WHATSOEVER. Manager is ZERO HELP. They will lie to your face and tell you they can’t do something when they’ve done it many times before — simply because they’re too lazy to do the job. Never going to this branch again, I will go back to my home branch where I’m treated with respect.

I have never been to a slower branch in my life. I am able to perform all my bank functions fine at every other branch except this specific one.

I really think that Dhruva needs to undergo customer service training. He is literally the worst customer service staff that I have ever met. Imagine telling a client to refrain from emailing him because he was in a meeting, what's funny is he never acknowledge the email anyways. Is this the RBC standard for employees? He also did a hard check on a credit score of a person 1 DAY after arriving in Canada. Like seriously, what's to check on a credit report of a literal newcomer who never had history to report anyways. And that hard checking of him gave 2 inquiries which really affected everything. Is hard checking a hobby for Dhruva? I asked someone from TD and was told that newcomers are not being checked by TD since the history is fresh needs to be built that's why a credit card is being issued by them with a smaller credit limit. We will never bank with RBC again.

I’ve set up three meetings with this bank each one after the other because no one called me for a meeting they showed available, absolutely ridiculous customer service. THIS WAS JUST A PHONE CALL. This wasn’t an in-person sit down, a video chat where you have to get ready, they could’ve called while making a coffee for all I care. No one called. The emails just bounce. Save your time and go to any other city’s RBC. If you need to the machines this bank is perfectOther wise.. just avoid it.

RBC is the most solid and dependable of the major banks. I've tried the others over the years, large and small, and have found RBC to be the best option for me.

They always acknowledge your presence even if they may be busy at their screen. They come see you at the line up to check if they can assist with anything while you’re waiting. The only downside is them ALWAYS being so busy - there hasn’t been a time of the day where I could avoid a lineup here.
