Worst place I went to buy lottery tickets today morning and was asked to pay double the amount thankfully for me I checked as the amount did not seem right
When I asked the teller he said sorry and corrected it.
Most of the time we are all in a rush and don’t bother to check the totals as we presume everything and the teller is correct
This is the second time this has happened at this very gas station and for lottery only
Never ever trust them check your bill before payment

It's a nasty place, I put in gas and pressed regular gas. When I went to cancel, I noticed there was very little gas for the money I was paying. And the machines mark the gas very quickly. When I went to pay at the register, he tells me it was because I put in premium gas. Saying I was crazy, I told him to show me the video of the machine. I pressed regular, he didn't want to. He stole my money. Second, he didn't register the gas on the computer. He just scanned his phone. It's an abuse. He didn't want to show me the security video. He knows I'm telling the truth. They should send an inspection of that gas station and the gas machines…

This Shell gas station/Short Stop convenience store looks and feels like a million bucks! It is so bright, clean, and well organized. The staff greet every visitor with a friendly smile and say “hello!”.
Every time I have shopped here, an employee has gone out of their way to help me locate an item and answer my questions. During my most recent visit, Pooja and her co-workers were so kind and welcoming to me. Pooja engaged in conversation that extended beyond the typical gas station clerk small-talk which made me feel valued as a customer. I could tell by the tone of her voice that she was a genuinely nice person who cared about her job and the satisfaction of the customers.
Since the store’s facelift, the employees feel safer because they can now see over the product shelves and there’s only one entry/exit door. Additionally, they have a better view of everything inside and outside because they no longer have to stand with their backs to the gas pumps. The layout is 100% smarter and safer for everyone!
My only concern from my last visit was the lack of absorbing floor mats near the door. There was one large one, however, it was already over-saturated with slush, so the surrounding floor was a bit slippery. I know that the employees pride themselves on keeping the place clean and safe. I’ve seen them trying their best to stay on top of the mopping of water by the door, however, perhaps a few extra non-slip mats would help keep them and their customers from slipping.
Otherwise, I’m completely satisfied.
Thank-you for putting in so much effort into creating a positive and welcoming space to fuel up and purchase snacks on the go.

Can’t even get a simple transaction correct. I attempted to pre-pay at the pump, select 91 and it doesn’t work, so I need to go inside. So I go inside and pay, tell the cashiers 5-6x that I want 91 octane gas, as my car doesn’t run correctly on 87. She tells me to try another pump, which still won’t allow me to select 91. I walk outside and the other cashier starts pumping 87 after how many times I told them this isn’t the gas I want. I keep tell him repeatedly this is the wrong grade of gas, but it still wasn’t sinking into his head. Never get gas here unless you want to risk your car being ruined.

The gas is always priced up between 4-8 cents compared to other pumps nearby.. all the air miles/CAA offer seem pointless as the prices are marked up anyway

DO NOT GET GAS HERE!My partner and I recently went to Shell, filled up the tank and got back into the car, only to see that the meter was still at 0. NO gas had gone into the tank! He contacted an employee and showed them the receipt and a picture of the meter. We hadn’t even left the parking lot. The employee said he would get his manager to phone, but the manager never did.Today we had to WALK to this gas station with a canister so we could get gas. We got back home, put the gas in the tank and same thing happened. The meter was still at 0.Bottom line is that this company is taking your money HAPPILY in exchange for absolutely nothing. It ONLY happens at Shell. Right after, we went to Costco and the meter showed that the gas had gone into the tank. Do not trust shell. If you go there and something happens, don’t expect the management to be professional and decent enough to try to compensate you for the money you lost due to faulty gas pumps. Trust the horrible reviews over the years of this place. They’re telling you the truth.

3rd time I got gas from here and my fuel meter is at zero still. Last night got 10 dollars of fuel nothing happened. Today morning walked 4 km back and forth to get 1 gallon of gas and still the fuel meter didn't even flinch. This is clearly case of the fact that shell is scaming us.

Awful maintenance. Pumps are broken and out of service. Receipts never print out so you have to go inside to retrieve it ... check your receipts... possible scam for customers not walking in to get their receipt

Its a busy spot, i find their pay at the pumps sometimes, selected ones arent operating i pay at the pump so for me i dont like to idle and wait for another one, sadly not all fuel stations carry the same fuel types and i forget that when i drive in and am faced with 91 octane and its pricey too

Horrible HORRIBLE experience at this Shell. I was making conversation with the clerk about increased gas prices in Waterloo, and mentioned that this location was 3 cents more expensive than all other locations in Waterloo (not a complaint just an observation), and the man became extremely rude and defensive. After explaining that I was just commenting on it and I heard on the radio that gas prices in Waterloo were increasing, he continued his condescending, aggressive demeanour. I said thank you and left, at which he shouted at me “have a good weekend too!”. As a 24 year old woman this was a very uncomfortable experience. Never returning to this station, and I suggest you don’t either.
