Terrible experience here last weekend. Will never return. Went for the first time with my fiancé and friend. Did not see any visible signage about backpacks. My fiancé brought his backpack in as he was travelling with expensive items. No one approached us upon entering and we even passed employees at counters. More than halfway through the store we pass the main desk where a lady asked my fiancé if he would like to leave his backpack. He asks if it’s mandatory and she says yes so he politely declines and decides to leave with his backpack as he did not want his items left at the front. Meanwhile I’m still looking at something near the desk as this is happening. I then hear the same employee laughing to her colleagues about how ‘she guesses she altered his plans’.. insinuating he had planned to steal from them and put the items in his backpack. She rudely stereotyped him as a thief because he politely declined to leave his backpack. I turned to her and told her that the person she was laughing about with her colleagues was my spouse and that he wasn’t a thief. She did not realize I was with him and appeared embarrassed and apologized. Very unprofessional staff who laugh about customers and insinuate false things about them while working at the desk during opening hours. I was so offended I left, as did my friend. I will not give them any of my business. I wonder what else they say about their customers when they can’t hear them?

My husband and I are antiques enthusiasts. St. Jacobs Antiques Market is top of our list. Every year we take a drive from Toronto to Kitchener-Waterloo about 2 to 3 times and we never miss visiting this antique shop because of its location and the beautiful antiques we can find there. We never comes out of the store empty handed! The staff is very helpful too. My husband always look for Wilma to say hi to her whenever we visit there. This store has recently expanded too. It's big, clean (including the washrooms) and well organized. If there is a 6-star rating option, we will give it without a moment's hesitation! We highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Shocking displays of incompetence. The employees are rude and unprofessional. Don't shop here if if you'd like to be treated with any shred of decency.

Saint Jacob's Antique is a hidden gem, a destination worth the journey for anyone, even if it's a considerable distance. A day spent here promises a unique blend of fun and unparalleled shopping, showcasing some of the most extraordinary items you've ever encountered. Whenever time allows, I find myself drawn to this place, ready to invest hours in exploring its treasures. Notably, the owner's kindness and patience add an extra layer of charm to the overall experience.

One of the coolest places I have ever visited. Every stall is an absolute treasure trove. There's lots of parking and friendly staff who will even bring your purchases to the front for you. Be aware that stalls are quite tight, so watch your coats, bags, and kid's hands as you could easily knock something over. I did my holiday shopping here and there was something for everyone on my list. The price range varies per stall, but all the items are reasonably and respectfully priced. I will definitely be going back soon.

The item I was seeking had been sold. Initially the staff was not very helpful but I persisted and ended up having a good experience. I was there when the door opened that day and perhaps they weren't quite in the right frame of mind when I started peppering them with questions. Fascinating place but I get twitchy surrounded by so many items owned by so many people.

Amazing! Went here with my fiancé and spent a couple hours shopping around. Bought a map and a couple old bottles. Will be back.

A lot of interesting pieces are available. Some very neat antiques. It is a bit crowded so be mindful. It is very large with many vendors so it will take some time to go through each booth. Very disappointing that on Saturdays their washroom is always "broken' (I only know because I overheard staff talking about how they always close the bathrooms on the weekend).

Great place to visit and learn about the Culture. It's a Museum of vintage goods that you can buy! Personally as a mechanical person by profession, I got two antique wrenches to show and tell my colleagues. Also prices are reasonable and I find it better than the other store.

Pretty good clean market. Lots to look at, some interesting and some familiar vintage pieces. I didn't find anything of value and that's priced modestly for resell. So it was basically just a learning expedition. My daughter found high value Pokemon cards for a decent price though. Wished we lived in KW year round!
