I got a pedicure done because I received a gift certificate. The oowner dit it. She did not clean my toenails properly, then passed on to someone else to put the polish. Her hair kept coming on her face while she was applying the polish. I do a better job at doing my pedicure and putting my polish. I'm not impressed at all. Location is not ideal. You have to walk to your car with your flipflops after a pedicure and parking can be far. It's not worth it for the price. I will not go back.

Frank did a great job with a pedicure and dip powder. Clean, friendly people, the option to order a bubble tea while you’re getting a pedicure is nice.

Don’t recommend this place took almost 3hours for a lumpy dip refill that normally takes an hour 15 anywhere else and they did colour dip instead of clear so now I have to pay more when I get them refilled and fixed at a better nail salon. You can tell the nail staff are still learning a lot of things which is why it probably took so long. Thought I’d give them a chance cause they’re closer to me than my normal salon but I definitely regret it.EDIT: If the reply to this and other bad reviews isn’t clear enough they’re customer service also sucks.

My go to place to get my nails done. Got an Acrylic set. The tech shaped my nails very well and always asked for my approval of the shape and design. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming! Will definitely come again !

I came in on a Monday. No one else had an appointment I was the only one there I was booked for 12 o’clock called ahead of time and got there about five minutes early. I got a regular acrylic set and French tips. It cost me almost $80 and I wasn’t done until 10 minutes before three!! They were very nice and did a good job, but this service should only take an hour. I am a student and did not expect to wait that long. I asked at the desk and was expecting a discount, but none was given.Service: Acrylic nails

Basic manicure took way too long, almost an hour and a half. Nails are shaped unevenly and nail tech did not paint all the way to the skin. You know it’s bad when your nail tech doesn’t even have their nails done. Didn’t even fully remove my old polish. Two stars cause the Cafe Mocha was good.Service: Nail painting

- I booked a manicure with Dipping powder, no fake tips.- The manicure service started on time, the girl was very nice throughout the service.- During removal of the previous (traditional air dry) polish I had, one of my fingers was injured (skin came off along the edge, basically beside the cuticle line). I was asked if I was alright many times throughout the session after that, which I appreciated. I don't know if anything would have been done if I said it hurt, I decided to tough it out because the pain wasn't bad at all lol. The girl was more gentle with that finger overall which I also appreciated!- The service took about two hours in total, which was fine with me, I don't know how long they are on average.- I was asked to approve the shaping, polish, pattern, etc. between pretty much every step which was great. I didn't have any concerns at the end of the service because of that!- The nails were thicker and rounder than I expected (overall shape) but I think that's how dip powder styles are, overall I'm happy with the result.- The price: I paid $118, which I feel is pretty expensive for this type of design. In Markham and the GTA nail parlours are able to do similar work for less.. $60-70 from my previous experiences, sometimes even less. It's a lesson learned for me, to be fair since I did design on all 10 nails at $5 each lol.Overall, was a great experience- I would have given five stars if the injury didn't happen and the price was lower.

The most uncomfortable experience I have ever had at a nail salon.Firstly, my appointment was at 11:30. I got a call at 11 letting me know that the girl I had booked with was not going to be in at 11, and would it be okay if they switched me to someone else. I said yes but found it odd to only get 30 mins of notice. When I did arrive, they let me know that the girl I had been switched to was also running late. The nail bar itself is set up very oddly, you can't pull your chair in all the way so I spent the whole hour perched on the edge of my stool, holding my arms straight out in front of me. While the tech did my service, another staff member sat next to her and talked on Facetime for a while. Then she sat and watched the girl do my nails while they talked to each other too quietly for me to hear. I'm not sure if perhaps the girl was new and was being supervised? They never said. When another staff member showed up there was a period of time where she was standing behind me watching so someone was watching from both sides. It was extremely uncomfortable. The quality of the nails is not even good. She spent 45 minutes removing my shellac and shaping my nails, did not do any work on my cuticles, told me at the last second that the polish I had chosen would be an extra $15 so I had to make a quick switch. The polish is not applied well, there are big gaps at the edges, the nail tips are rough and overall it looks like really poor work. Very disappointed as the work I saw on their instagram looks great.**EDIT in response**It was not a 2 minute Facetime call, it was at least 10 minutes while she was mopping the floor and close to 10 while she sat next to the tech. Fine she was in training, but that should be explained. I'm sure you can understand that it would be uncomfortable to not know why 2 people are just watching you get your nails done.I did NOT refuse any step of the manicure other than lotion, as I prefer to use my own. If anything was not done resulting in the poor state of my nails it is certainly not my doing. I distinctly remember her using a buffer at the end as I thought it was odd to rough up the nail tips that had just been polished.Very disappointing response.Services: Synthetic nail removal

There was 1 person there her name was T. She did pedicure which took a long time. There was no plastic liner in the foot basin. I asked and she said it was disinfected. I asked about autoclaving of tools. She said they sterilized yes not to worry. When I removed my nail polish about 7 weeks later I was devastated to see toe nail fungus on most of my nails. I am now undergoing treatment for this which can take up to 18 months to rectify. I have never had this happen in over 40 years of pedicures. Do not go here.Sept 23 response - you cannot find me in your records? July 29 at 11:00 am i was there with Tee.. Check your phone logs July 28 at 4:24 pm I left a message. 5:30 pm you called back and booked me in for the next day. You cannot "guarantee" that I did not get nail fungus there because I did. I haven't had a pedicure in a year and there is no other way I got it. The fact that you are in total denial about what happened to me, have absolutely no care or concern for me as a customer and choose to deny I was even there tells me everything I need to know about you as a person and business owner. I hope no other customer gets nail fungus from your establishment and that you take better care towards sterilization and cleanliness of your environment. No one should have to go through this and be treated like this never happened and they don't exist.

This was my second time being serviced by the Nail Lounge and they have become the ONLY place I will go to in Waterloo. The staff, Thieen, Monica, & Fatima are experts. Prior to my appointment (results in the photo attached) my nails were brittle and uneven from ripping off my gel. Thieen cleaned them up and created a bio extension to give me the clean and even look I wanted on my natural nails. She could have easily persuaded me to get acrylics, however she found solutions to accommodate my needs. The staff continuously asks you questions about your desired shape, length, and gives their opinions on which color and service is right for your needs… a full consultation that ensures you’re standards are met when you leave. These girls are also angels. They are so engaging (but will give you quiet to relax if you want!) and my appointment flew by with great conversations and exceptional service. They charge fair prices and the salon is clean and beautiful as well :)Service: Manicure

My regular nail tech is out of town, so I thought I’d try somebody in town. I have been getting my nails done for years and this is the worst experience I’ve ever received. While the girl who did my nails was kind, the quality of work was below average and very frustrating. I went in at 6:45 for a bio gel fill, and left at 8:15 with a shellac polish change. My nail tech struggled to remove the shellac I came in with, and she did a terrible job at shaping my nails. 45 minutes into the appointment and she only just finished removing my polish/“shaping”, I knew the bio gel was not going to be to my satisfaction so I told her not to bother with the fill, just polish. My nails are not uniform, oddly shaped, rough edged, and my one finger (which I had done less than 12 hours ago, has already peeled). The beds of my nails are lumpy and wavy. I understand that people need to learn, but it shouldn’t be on paying clients. Which brings me to the payment… I was expecting to pay for a polish change, which is what I sat for an hour and a half for and painfully received, but they charged me for a shellac manicure plus a polish removal (50 dollars). This is more than I pay bi-weekly for a proper bio gel fill and polish change. For the quality of the service, it should be complimentary as this girl is clearly still learning. I feel completely ripped off. I certainly will not be returning.
