I had a fantastic experience with Amanda while opening bank accounts for my children. Their first visit to CIBC was both extraordinary and memorable. Amanda was exceptional in her role, patiently answering all of their questions about banking and using their cards. Her professionalism and ability to engage with my kids made this experience enjoyable and informative.

I recently had a very frustrating experience at this bank when trying to help my mom deposit money. Not only did the online banking system continuously give random errors when attempting to e-transfer a deposit, but the in-branch staff were quite rude throughout the entire process.
Initially, when we sought help, one of the staff members told us that the email needed to match. However, even after correcting this, the error persisted. Instead of being helpful, the staff member rudely questioned how much we were trying to deposit (it was over $8,000), and then dismissively informed us that only $3,000 could be deposited. Nowhere on the account info section did it specify this limit, which could have saved us a lot of trouble.
When I kindly suggested that providing a clearer error message would help future customers, the staff member curtly told me to escalate the matter if I had a problem. This response was uncalled for, as I was merely offering feedback to improve the customer experience. A little respect and better customer service would go a long way, especially when dealing with people's finances.
In summary, I was disappointed by both the unclear deposit limits and the lack of professionalism from the staff. If you're banking here, I suggest being prepared for some bumps along the way, and don't expect much in the way of helpful or courteous customer service.

My mom recently passed and had to see Amanda Symons at CIBC about her account. She was so helpful and made my difficult time so much easier. She kept me informed on the process from Estate Dept and was so professional and friendly. Truly made me feel supported and had empathy for my loss. It was a really nice experience and I highly recommend her. Keep up the good work Amanda you are a wonderful asset to the CIBC team! Thank you for caring.

My husband opened a business account with this branch and had some concerns about some of settings on his account. Called several times to get the issue rectified. Sent several emails. I witnessed him speaking with the branch manager over the phone, whom would not let him speak and was very aggressive and did not want to hear what he had to say, she proceeded to say I’m going to hang up the phone on you and then she actually did. I have never in my life witnessed this type of disrespect from any bank personnel, customer service representative or person that deals with the public. Worst customer service experience ever.

NOT a full branch FYI. There are offices and ATM’s with someone to help you push the buttons. If you came to see a teller you are wasting your time

Do not ever deal with a certain woman here initials GM (not going to post her name just to be safe) . Speaks down to clients, very condescending and judgemental. Had the absolute worst experience with her in my banking history. Strongly suggest to stay clear of her if you are a person of colour.

ATM machine is open , not sure if the bank is open yet or if it's by appointment only. Located on main street of Brooklin and they do have their own parking lot.
