  Outstanding Care, Exceptional Leadership, and a Store That Truly Sets the Standard
  I cannot say enough incredible things about PetSmart North Whitby, especially the manager Chris and the amazing Bruna. From the moment you walk into this store, you can feel the difference professionalism, care, organization, and genuine love for animals radiate through every interaction.
  I have been coming to this location consistently for over a year, and I have never once had a disappointing experience. Not a single time. The store is always well run, clean, and staffed by people who clearly care about both the pets and their owners. Chris leads with integrity and consistency, and Bruna goes above and beyond every single visit compassionate, knowledgeable, and always willing to help with a smile.
  The level of care my dog receives here is unmatched. I trust this team completely, and that trust has been earned through repeated excellence, not just words. Anyone leaving negative reviews is simply not being honest or is projecting their own unhappiness because this store operates at a level that speaks for itself.
  If you want the best care for your pet, knowledgeable staff, and management that truly sets the bar, this is the location. PetSmart North Whitby is lucky to have Chris and Bruna, and customers like myself are even luckier to be served by them.
  Highly recommend and I will continue coming back without hesitation.

  I called ahead to see if there’s any availability for a nail trim for my dog. They told me to come in at 1:45. When I showed up, the guy said they’re too busy. When I told him I had an appointment, he confirmed it was there in the system. He went to ask the groomer how long it will be and she said an hour (I heard her). And then he comes to me and says to wait 15mins. I left, because I doubt it’ll only be 15mins. This is so unacceptable to waste people’s time like this. They could have just said on the phone they were full!

  Vet uses booklet with stickers and dates for shots and signs off. Apparently not good enough for grooming. I'm not telling my vet to change his practice for PetSmart after years of getting groomed here. I get and support needing documentation to keep pets safe but that's exactly what was provided... Not interested in continuing to give them my business.

  I really love PetSmart and have always had great experiences at other locations, especially with their Treats Reward Program and friendly staff. Unfortunately, my visit to the Whitby location was very disappointing. I was in the area running errands and decided to stop by to grab some food for my dog. I don’t live in Whitby, but I figured it would be quick and convenient.
  
  As soon as I walked in, though, I noticed a very strong, unpleasant smell. It honestly smelled like a mix of wet dog and something foul, and it was so overwhelming that I couldn’t stay in the store for more than a couple of minutes. I understand that it’s a pet store and there will always be some kind of animal scent, but this was far beyond what’s normal or acceptable.
  
  It’s a shame because I really wanted to make a purchase, but I had to leave. The selection of products also seemed smaller compared to other PetSmart locations I’ve visited, which made the experience even less enjoyable. I think this store just needs a proper ventilation system and a more consistent cleaning routine to make it more comfortable for customers and pets.
  
  I truly hope management looks into improving the air quality because PetSmart is usually such a great place to shop for pet supplies. This location just needs a bit more care to match the quality and atmosphere of other stores. 🤢🤮

  Took our Nala to be groomed. Clean store, friendly staff. Nala looked great, just needed a little more time spent on her face.

  Today we took our dog in for a haircut at 320 Taunton store. They returned her with a terrible and extremely close (shaved) cut, which is not what we requested. The person who cut her hair told us she had mats, but that's not a sufficient justification because they even cut all the hair off her tail, leaving it bare, and even cut her face, shaving off her whiskers. She is a Maltese and they didn't take the care to at least leave her face styled according to her breed. We felt the groomer was in a very bad mood. Terrible service.
  
  Update: oct 17, 2025 - To be fair, after we sent a complaint directly to the store's email, we immediately received a response from the store manager offering a resolution.

  Wonderful store with great people working here !! Excellent customer service. If they could improve on one thing it would be to stock up on Popular food items. Ex- Weruva wet cat food - Chicken Charge me up is apparently the highest selling flavour and they keep running out. I have a cat who can only eat that product as it doesn't have any fish oil as she's allergic to fish.
  If this location can increase their stock of this product then I wouldn't have to keep running to other PerSmart locations to get it.

  Great selection of products
  You won't find everything, but offering everything would be impossible
  The staff are knowledgeable and patient with people who are interested in their pets for sale

  Walked in and was instantly greeted by Mallory. Store is very clean and organized. Grabbed my items and when I went to the cash Mallory was there ready to cash me out. Very easy and pleasant experience

  Our go to PetStore in Whitby located in North Whitby , big plaza that offers plenty of parking and easy access. The staff have high level of knowledge with regard to pet care and always available for answering all our queries.
  
  All types of pet food are available, including grooming services for cats and dogs.

  Terrible costumer service. Tried adopting a little kitten and the lady kept telling us that she doesn’t feel comfortable with us getting the kitten, she refused to tell us the price because she wanted us to fill out the application first and then when we were about to proceed with the application we asked if they are getting any ginger cats and she snatched the application from our hands stating “come back when you are sure” very rude, since we did want to adopt the kitten also said she’s not comfortable because we have a cat that is 2 years old. DO NOT ADOPT FROM THIS LOCATION!
