Kudos to Melissa in the Customer Service department at the Whitby North Home Depot for addressing and fixing a gift card problem involving another business entity. Melissa was polite, friendly and extremely efficient in rectifying this issue affording me a store credit in the same amount as the problematic gift card.

Always good to have a homedepot close by. The staff usually always helpful, there is a lot of them on-site for any questions or if you need anything. They are also organized if you look at your items online. Easy to find based on their inventory.

We're giving a one-star to this home depot location because today (October 5th, 2024) no staff was available to help us (we waited over 30 mins) in the tools section, even after pressing the 'need assistant button's 5 times and had 2 other staff call the tools person. We eventually decided to give up on trying to buy our $600 item, and went back over to the kitchen dept to get help with a freezer we were buying.
Thats when we met Landon, who we are giving a 5 Star review to. Landon went above and beyond his responsibilities. While his co-workers were all on a self promoted extended break. He supported us to find all the items we needed and ended up making a $1400 purchase. Landon should be promoted (and get employee of the month) to a leadership position that showcases how every Home Depot employee should act and care for their customers.

Went to the Garden Street location today and had the pleasure of being looked after by cashier Sharon...
She went over and above to help us with a return and also assisted earlier in the day via telephone when I needed help locating a specific baseboard.
Home Depot has a gem of an employee with Sharon.
In future, I'll probably shop this location just because of my experience today.

Very rude customer service at the return desk. I was surprised when she was berating the person ahead of me for using an item then returning it. I understand that using it and returning it would be frowned upon but the guy tried it and it wasn’t powerful enough. Then I went up with a receipt in hand with a dewalt saw that was bought well within the 90 day return period and I was told it looked older then that and it was date stamped the day it was made. I didn’t realize it mattered when it was made I thought 90 days from purchase. She was exceptionally rude about it, indirectly accusing me of cheating the system.

Today I went to pick up some topsoil, but some of the bags were burst and difficult to move. One of the managers named Ray saw that I was struggling and came over, told me to go pay inside for the number that I needed and he would wait to help me load them into my truck. It was so great to receive such great customer service .Thanks Ray for all of your help.You made it a quick and efficient trip.Always a pleasant experience at this location.

His knowledge and attention to detail were impressive, and he never rushed me, making sure I was completely satisfied with the choice. What stood out the most was his genuinely kind and friendly attitude, which made the experience enjoyable and stress-free. Akshay is a true asset to the team, and I truly appreciate all his help.
