I came here to fill in a balloon for my LO birthday on a weekend. The two employees were young girls that were just chatting by the cashier. I asked them if I could fill one foil balloon that I brought in. I was told I was a "walk in", and they don't know if they can help me depending on the schedule. Also they gave me a hard time as I brought my own balloon. They walked over to the balloon area and they flipped through the schedule together and decided they can help me. I was thrilled! What a relief. I had no idea filling one balloon would require an appointment. I casually asked if it's due to the limited supply of helium, which would be completely understandable. They corrected me and said it's not due to supply, it's because they don't know if they have the time. I was taken back by the comment; especially because when I walked in they weren't busy filling in balloons. It's not as though I budded the line nor where there people waiting on balloons to be filled. The time they took to initially refuse me and flip through the book they could have easily filled ONE foil balloon. They filled the balloon and I went on my merry way. When I got home I noticed the balloon was already 1/4 deflated. I didn't have time to return to the store the same day as the party was about to start. Thankfully a friend of mine ended up purchasing helium balloons from a different store. After all the day was done I took a closer look and discovered why the balloon I purchased deflated. The ribbon was tied right on top of the valve compromising the seal causing a slow leak. Where as the other store tied the ribbon below the valve. It was super disappointing and overall a bad experience. Reading through the reviews it seems as though this isn't an isolated incident (even from a year ago) with the balloons deflating quickly (probably the same issue with where the ribbon was tied) or being turned away because they were a "walk in". Better training needs to be done or better selection of staff. To end off on good note. I brought in the balloon to show them and explained what happened. Although it was frustrating that even with proof I did have I to advocate for myself before the manager agreed to give me a refund.I am grateful to receive a refund but it doesn't take away the disappointment and the hoops I had to jump through just to have one balloon filled and how I had push for a refund.Unfortunately I won't be returning and will be going elsewhere next year.

Went late December. Bought a bottle of coke. Got home, coke was flat; looked at expiry date, September. Store sells products that are 3 months expired, unimpressed.

Was there to get balloons. No one in the store. I couldn’t get balloons at all they said I would have to order and come back tomorrow. Drove over to Canadian tire and got the balloons I needed.

I've been to this store a good amount of times since moving to Stouffville and do not understand the 1-Star reviews. Customer service here has always been more than exceptional, the products are what you'd expect, we even ordered helium balloon bouquets for a birthday and that went flawlessly - no issues with the reservation, no issues with the helium, for an extra dollar they even bagged it for us.

Friendly people in the store and lots of good finds. Marlene (sp?) has been especially helpful everytime I've been in. Today she sold me some really nice helium balloons for a friend's birthday. Thank you.

VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.Specially one of the girls working thereWent to the store to order balloons, they told me they were not taking walk in orders, and asked me to call during the week. I Called different days and they lied each time...not understanding why they don't want to provide a service.Try filtering your interviews and hire people that aren't rude...

For a few years, I have driven by Buck or Two Plus, a dollar store on Main Street. Last week, I was at the LCBO when I decided to check this store out afterwards. I went to my car to put away my booze before heading inside. I love a good dollar store. A bunch of Canada Day items greeted me when I walked in. If you love plushies, specifically Ty, you must come here. This store has a huge assortment. As its name suggests, a large Ty plushie is more than two dollars, so the Plus part of the name makes perfect sense. The snacks and food sections always appeal to me. There were lots of spices in bottles. From ramen noodles to Kool-Aid, you can find them here. I was impressed seeing digestive cookies with no sugar added. It was a rare site for me to see such a product at a dollar store. I appreciated seeing them. My dad would be happy with them, as he's the only person I know who enjoys digesting digestive cookies. The chips and dip are located in a corner at the front, closest to the LCBO next door. There was also Old Dutch beef jerky and Twists that I enjoy snacking on. This store looks tiny from the front. It's highly misleading. It's pretty deep once you are inside the store. It has so many interesting items. Seeing a pink craft hammer was different. It was my first time seeing a pink hammer in my life, likely preying on the stereotype that crafty females would like all things pink. Now, if it came in purple, I'd likely jump on it. I ended up getting a couple bottles of pop from the fridge. I had to line up, as there was one man ahead of me. The woman at the store was extremely friendly. When I first walked into the store, she said hi to me immediately. She was equally as friendly at the checkout. I paid with a debit card. She asked me whether I needed a bag. Nope, I was good. I thanked her and happily left with my drinks. You do need to pull the front door open to get in and push it to leave the store. It's the only downside if you require assistance getting through the door or are carrying a lot of items. I was happy to finally visit the store at long last. I'd drop by again. It was a nice change of pace from the other two major dollar stores, Dollarama and Dollar Tree. (200)

Horrible customer service! People at the store treat you with complete disrespect!! I called in the morning to place an order for helium balloons. I was advised that they have helium shortage and that I would have to walk in to make the order. I explained that the birthday is the next day and asked if I can walk in tomorrow and make the order and was advised that I had to walk in today and order for tomorrow. I did what was advised and walked in and was told that o can make an order and take it now but am not allowed to make an order and pick it up the next day…no reason was provided and the person just looked at me and said “I don’t make the rules”. I saw orders to be fulfilled for tomorrow and asked why I couldn’t do the same and was given the same answer!! Treating people with attitude and frankly not trying to help and providing false information over the phone! Completely unacceptable!!!!
