About Algonquin Provincial Park
Algonquin Provincial Park is a must-see destination for nature lovers, offering a vast expanse of beautiful trails and stunning views. The park is particularly enchanting in the fall, from late September to early October, when the autumn leaves are in full display, creating a dreamlike landscape of orange and red. Visitors are encouraged to arrive before 9 AM to avoid crowds and enjoy the serene morning fog. Camping within the park provides an amazing experience with various activities, including stargazing at locations like Canisby Lake, known for its breathtaking night sky views. The lookout trail is highly recommended for its scenic vistas. It is important for visitors to wear good hiking shoes, as trails can be icy, especially in November. While restrooms are available at trailheads, some are noted to be poorly maintained. Pet restrictions apply in certain areas, and parking permits must be reserved in advance as they sell out quickly. Overall, Algonquin Provincial Park offers a remarkable experience, especially during peak fall colors, making it a perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts.

A must see for any nature lover, absolutely massive park with many great trails. Trails can be quite icy even in November so come prepared if you're going this time of year.

The best time is to visit is in the fall, around late September to early October, when the autumn leaves are in full display. (Varies each year) The weather is quite pleasant and it isn’t too cold nor hot. (Chance of snow if you’re lucky)

Visited on Oct 1st . No words to explain how beautiful it was to visit the park . It felt like being in a dream land. Be mindful of the pass. It opens 5 to 6 days in advance at 7 am on ontario park website and it gets sold in minutes.
