What a great place to stop at in Wiarton!! The smoked lake trout is super tasty, and the fish and chips were extremely delicious! Awesome fries and a very generous portion! The friendly staff were super helpful as well. Highly recommend this spot if you're around Wiarton.

This place is absolutely amazing 👏. I went today for the first time, and I'm embarrassed to say I'm a local, and this is my first time to this gem, and I wish I would have went a long time ago. Man, this food was absolutely amazing. My hats off to the chef 👨🍳 🥰 Thanks. The potion is absolutely amazing, plus the tartar sauce was perfect. It comes with a side of yummy coleslaw. ❤️ All this for 23.75. 😀 A great deal. 👍 🥰 Thanks for a great meal. 💗

We have visited Howells Fish twice this week. The first time we purchased smoked fish and fish fillets. Both were outstanding. Tonight we went back for fish and chips and fish tacos. Everything was delicious!!! The service was outstanding. I would highly recommend this great spot whether you are looking for fresh fish or a takeout dinner.

Phenomenal! Ordered the shrimp and fish/chips! Excellent batter, so light and fluffy. Fish tasted great, fries cooked crispy and tartar sauce was delicious. Spicy seafood sauce definitely had a kick but had good flavour with the crispy shrimp! Can’t wait to return and eat more food! Plus don’t forget to grab some smoked fish while visiting!!

Sooooo yummy ? The fish just melts in your mouth and it’s so flavourful and juicy as well as the batter not being too thick so it’s the perfect balance!! Gravy was very good and the fries as well!!The owner and employees are very nice people, great customer service! I’ll definitely be back to try the other menu items.

Very delish food!! We had a regular poutine, the pulled pork poutine (in the pic) and the crispy shrimp. The poutines were made with fresh cut fries, and coming from someone who typically doesn’t eat fresh cut they were delicious and full of flavour. It’s hard to find a poutine these days that isn’t overly salty and they totally achieved a good in between, I didn’t have to reach for water once. The pulled pork tasted amazing and fresh, and so did the shrimp. You can really tell it was homemade, and the shrimp were so crispy in the best way possible. They nailed the breading. We will definitely be back! Service also a 10/10, very fast. We hung around for a few minutes, bought some whitefish and our food was already done.

I buy fish here whenever I visit this area. Always great quality! If you love local fresh water fish, this is the place to buy your fish. Whether it's frozen or fresh caught, the quality is always outstanding.
