Urgently needed to talk to a pharmacist regarding a potential tick exposure and was able to discuss our concerns with the pharmacist on the phone and in person immediately even though we were from out of town. Pharmacist was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Answered all of our questions and helped us decide what to do. Was a very pleasant interaction in a stressful time. Thanks again!

Reading others comments seems that is the cost of doing business.

We were on vacation when my dad urgently needed his prescription refilled after misplacing his medication. Thankfully, the prescription transfer from our home pharmacy was completed in just 10 minutes. However, when I explained the urgency to the staff- specifically to Julie- I was told to go to a hospital if it was truly an emergency and that the medication wouldn’t be ready until 5 PM. It was blood pressure medications.
I called again, explained the situation, and even went in person to follow up. Julie responded by saying, “Everyone says it’s urgent,” and mentioned they were backed up due to the long weekend. While I understand they were busy, I also believe that pharmacies should assess and prioritize based on genuine medical need.
It took several calls and a lot of emotional stress before the prescription was finally filled—two hours later. The experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. There was a clear lack of empathy, and it felt like our situation wasn’t taken seriously. I’ve never had such a disheartening experience at a pharmacy before.

While Sunshine Drugs has loyal supporters and excels in many areas, the inconsistency in staff demeanor is a legitimate concern. For some, it’s a beloved community staple; for others, it’s a place where a single negative interaction overshadowed its strengths. Proceed with patience and clear communication.

It’s unfortunate some people have bad experiences at this pharmacy, I can’t imagine anyone being rude from this pharmacy because every time I come in I’ve only experienced excellent, kind and helpful service. The pharmacists are always so helpful and kind, they never rush with my questions, the cashier staff are always so nice, friendly, polite and helpful. The store has some unique pretty gifts for the home, excellent selection of cards, gift cards, snacks, bath products and of course a variety of medicines. Anyone new visiting to town don’t be discouraged by negative reviews, you could be pleasantly surprised that your experience is as wonderful as mine. I hope it is.

I agree with the other 1 star review, hit the nail on the head. We’re a new family in the area, retired military with 3 children. Could’ve been a long term customer but my very first and definitely last visit this morning was a conflict the second I walked in. The stores isles are blocked off with no signage or explanation, so I walk down the one isle and one of the staff members tell me to go down isle 3, I say it’s blocked off, she responds that’s fine just move the rack and meet the pharmacist there. I do as instructed and am immediately met by someone else who lectures me that I’m not supposed to be there as if I read minds or all the signage that isn’t posted. She then essentially pushes me out of the isle saying the new pharmacist makes the rules and he’s not great to deal with, not realizing I had just spoken to him in front of her and that she walked right past him. The pharmacist also lied to my face telling me he couldn’t help me not knowing that I was instructed to go there by my family doctor for an over the counter item. Never again will I walk into that place or give them any business. Conflict like the other 1 star review mentioned within the first 10 seconds being in the store. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Most horrible service at pharmacy. We were needing meds on way through, told to wait a half hour but an hour later still not ready. Once ready, we’re told pharmacist needed to see me regarding meds. Wait another half hour and ask why we are now here two hours and when I would see pharmacist. They requested pharmacist see us again… he served four customers who came after us. I asked the girls at desk why we were being skipped and she said she had no clue why. I had to leave so we just took our meds and left. Never seen anything like this !

I've lived in this area all of my life. Recently, I am noticing every trip to this store results in conflict of some kind. I mention this to staff today. The staff replied with "Maybe I should be going somewhere else." I agree with them. nobody should be shopping or doing business here. Based on that single comment alone, they appear to have all the business they require and could stand to lose a few clients.I can only hope these comments made by McKenzie's staff will assist when it's time for you to choose a pharmacy. These people do not deserve your business.

Went there to purchase Tylenol one that my doctor told me get. For my toothache. The lady behind the counter called me and she couldn't give me Tylenol one by Tuesday or for my muscle pain. Here is what Tylenol cold and uses are for.What does Tylenol 1 help with?This combination of medications is used to treat mild-to-moderate pain associated with conditions such as headache, dental pain, muscle pain, painful menstruation, pain following an accident, and pain following operations. This medication may be available under multiple brand names and/or in several different forms.Needless to say, very unimpressed, very unhappy do you educate their staff better?

Today I gave up on this pharmacy, first I asked if my medication was ready when I had called in over 4 hours prior and it wasn't but then I asked the counter person if a certain medication was otc or prescription. She said she didn't know. I said well where else would I get this question answered then besides the pharmacy, she begrudgingly went to ask the pharmacist. I asked another question, she said she couldn't answer and then was told the pharmacists were very busy. I told her well I guess I need a new pharmacy that will answer questions.

Extremely expensive here. Something for 25 at your common drug store is 32 here. Mark up here is unreasonable, I will be traveling the extra distance to a reliable drug store next trip.

Becki is always helpful and such a cheery employee! It’s great to have a local pharmacy that offers quick pick and and hours worked on the weekend!
