For a postal service, it’s the worst one I have been to, they make a big stink when you write your house address is P.O. Box number yet when there is no option on shipping ur P.O. Box and send it to their address and with your name they send it right back without trying to reach you. Pure laziness as far as I’m concerned. Might aswell just send your stuff to your house no one will return ur mail u have been waiting on. Mind blown!

Generally speaking, CP goes out of its way to make things difficult and inconvenient. However, my experiences with this post office location have only been positive. Rarely is there a wait to pick up packages, they love to say hello to my dog, and packages are usually available for pickup on the day the parcel card is delivered.

In my experience, there are two types of government employees. The first type, of which there are many, truly view themselves as public servants and try their best to help you solve problems. The second type takes a different view of their role and often act to ensure that one's problem is not solved. Unfortunately I ran into a shift manager this afternoon at the Winchester office who fell into the second category. Earlier in the day, I had tried to purchase a mail redirection service on-line. I was charged for the service but told, on-line, that I would have to provide appropriate ID by going to the local post office which, in my case, is the Winchester one. So, I drove the 10 km to the post office and took with me: the online receipt with barcode, 2 pieces of government issued photo ID (the online receipt said I only needed one) and proof of residence at the current address since my government-issued photo ID did not indicate it, as stipulated in the online receipt. In fact I brought two pieces of proof of residence, both issued by municipal authorities. The shift manager told me, quite curtly, that unless my government-issued ID showed my residential address, she could not help me and merely provided me with a 1-800 number. Of course, her position does not accord with the directions contained on the Canada Post online receipt. She was not open to any discussion. She certainly showed no willingness to help solve a customer's problem. She was adamant: the government ID had to show the residential address, even though the Canada Post directions to attend a post office evidently are intended to deal with situations where the ID does not. Whether the shift manager was not aware of the Canada Post directions, which were printed on the receipt I presented, or follows her own rules is not possible for me to say. What I can say is that she showed zero willingness to help me solve a problem. Not sure why we any longer have in-person post offices if their staff are not willing to help out customers. Very disappointed by the attitude of the shift manager of this post office.

Nice simple people but imagine not being held accountable for working at the slowest possible pace. Monkeys could be trained to do a better job. They've upped their game since my first post ♡
