I went in to check the status of my credit card delivery as it was rushed last week and supposed to be delivered by purolator yesterday. The person I spoke to refused to even look at my account and just told me to wait 5-7 business days.I told them the card was rushed and supposed to only take 2 business days and they said even if the card is rushed I still have to wait 5-7 business days. I have had a card rushed by scotiabank before and it took 2 business days. I'm not sure if the person I spoke to was unaware that rushed delivery exists or if they just didn't care enough to look into it.When I called the call centre they at least checked my account and confirmed it was rushed but were unable to find the tracking info.An update: I called scotiabank after visiting this branch and found out the rep that requested my new card didn't update my address as requested and the new card was scheduled to be sent to my old address so it had to be cancelled and requested again. I've asked scotiabank to change my address 5 times now and it's yet to be done, hopefully the rep I just spoke to does it properly. If the person I spoke to at the branch at least looked into my account instead of just telling me to keep waiting they would've seen that my card was being sent to the wrong address (a totally different province). It's pretty hard to provide good customer service when you don't even check the customer's account and just guess their situation based on what they say.

The bank teller wasn't aware about the process of closing an account and while the process has been incomplete, she sent me back home to proceed with the process over the phone.Phone support advised, that I have to go back to the bank to close the account. Terrible.

I visited scotia bank today , as I received email from bank regarding my student status verification to continue with student advantage banking plan, first of all on the day of account opening I submitted all the documents which supports my student status till May 2024. Secondly, I tried to reach out bank twice by email but haven’t received any updates even after 15 business days.During my visit I gave my offer letter from university for verification which clearly mentioned start date and the curse duration. But representative ask me for something very recent from university. Entire process take 1 Hr of mine to access university portal and provide document she want. She thought I am lying to her about my status to just get student advantage plan. I found it very rude

Stupid banks closing there ATM at what ever time 9:30pm so that the freaking homeless people don't sleep in there because there the bank is too cheap to hire security and now I'm unable to deposit money into the ATM

Very disappointed in the services, never had any issues before, have been with this bank for 25 years. Seems the management don't care anymore. The manager didn't even come out to talk to me, rather relaying the messages through the teller. Went to this branch to see if they can help me with nfs charges that came out to be $500 between the bank and paypal, the final solution was there is nothing they can do.

Have been trying to reinvest parents funds into higher interest accounts. As poa and having medical notes stating they are incapacitated, still a challenge to meet with an advisor to transfer money to benefit them financially. Frustrated, as I continually call them rather than they seek me out to tell me requirements have been met and we can now reinvest. Customer service needs improvement!

Sunday, 30th july, at 10am went to scotiabank ABM to withdraw some cash. It supposed to open at 8am but it was still closed at 10am. Really Disappointed. Is this how Billions dollars valued banks work?

The bank teller and manager refused to accept a deposit without answering invasive question of where the money came from. Went to the bank machine and the deposit was accepted. The manager was so rude in front of many other customers.

I walk into a local scotiabank and ask for 2 things. A stop payment on something that is coming out of my account and to change my last name. Tell me why the clerk says that I have to do the stop payment online and in order to change my last name I have to go into the bank that I initially opened my account with? What happens if I move out of province before I change my last name, do I have to travel all the way back to my initial home province in order to have my last name changed? This is a ridiculous practice for customer service as you should be able to do either of these things at any scotiabank that is open that day.
