Very poor Service. Was promised my medicines in 2 days but been to pharmacy 3 times. Excuses like computer down to no stock and " working on it" .Also " medicine needs to be checked or signed off. I asked for my prescription back and was given " a copy" .I asked them to transfer my Prescription to another pharmacy .The other pharmacy called them for transfer but 2 days passed and Shoppers at Manning Rd did not comply. The copy of the prescription is not valid without their electronic transfer of script.5 DAYS later and I need to go to a clinic to start over for URGENT medicine. Shoppers drug mart at Manning are unprofessional and unethical.

This was my pharmacy for over 25 years. The majority of my interactions with them were 22 years ago, picking up my mother's prescriptions when she had cancer. The prior ownership and management were outstanding. Over the last few years the pharmacy competence has deteriorated dramatically. I had a prescription for a standard antibiotic to treat a throat infection. They had changed the prescription from what the doctor ordered without consulting the doctor and proceeded to ask me personal questions about the symptoms at the counter when there was a rather large line. How can a person's right to privacy be safeguarded in this situation? I understand they have a professional responsibility when they feel a drug isn't right, however a person's privacy is paramount. It isn't with this staff- which is unacceptable. The other issue is the amount of time it takes to fill a new standard prescription. Anything over 2-3 hours I would suggest is unacceptable. Up until recently I've never had to take prescription medication on an ongoing basis, now I do and I need a pharmacist who is a partner in my care & use of medication and glucose monitoring equipment to manage diabetes. I don't want to deal with this batch of pharmacists as I don't like them nor trust their judgement. On a final note, I had a new medication added to my treatment plan & my doctor faxed to this pharmacy in error. When I got a text that my RX was ready, I realized it was at the wrong pharmacy. When I called, I had to wait on hold for 16 minutes & then was told I had to have the other pharmacy call them to transfer it. I was asked why I wouldn't take the RX as it was filled - I told them I want all my prescriptions in the one pharmacy so the pharmacist can support me properly. When I spoke to my new pharmacist, I was told it would likely take several hours as this particular pharmacy doesn't like to answer their phone. It took several hours for my RX to get to the right pharmacy. I didn't intend to leave a review, but after several weeks of dealing with a different pharmacy team, I can see how truly lacking this specific location of Shoppers is on a number of different levels. Hopefully the corporate entity will be prompted to take action as you've lost my business permanently. Based on some of the other recent reviews, my concern is not an isolated incident.

Why can't we be taken care of this way in the United States. I want to Canada over Holiday break vs I got extremely sick. I was able to go to telehealth in the states, but I forgot some medicine and supplies I desperately needed for my health. Not only did this store have all of the medical supplies I needed, WITHOUT PRESCRIPTION, it was affordable, and the pharmacist helped me to figure out what I needed! The pharmacy was in the back of a huge grocery store, so not only could I get my affordable medical supplies I also could get my last minute shopping supplies. Thank you country across the street for allowing us over, and taking care of us while we were there.

Dropped off a prescription and was told it would be available in 2 hours. I came back 2.5 hours later and then was told they need another few minutes. So far I have been another 30 minutes. I asked one time how much longer and it was a like I am bothering them. They guy who was at the counter just left and walked past me obviously not wanting to engage me, lol. The pharmacist obviously knows I am here but also says nothing. I am loosing confidence in this pharmacy quickly. I would not recommend this store for any pharmacy needs. FYI, now here for 45 minutes. Maybe I am the invisible man?? After an hour wait, I noticed a new pharmacist behind the counter. He actually noted me and ask if I was waiting for a prescription. When I answered yes, he said he was working on it now, apologize for the wait and stated he was not sure why it was left for him to fill. I would not recommend this place and my confidence is definitely gone.

The pharmacy at this shoppers is so terrible. The amount of times I've had to miss a dose of medication becuase they won't package an already faxed refill until I physically go there and ask for it is crazy. If I'm getting my medication refills faxed to the pharmacy here a week in advance just to give extra time for them to have it ready for pick up, why must I wait 45 minutes every time I pick it up?? I'd love to call and give them the heads up the day of so that it could be ready on time but nobody wants to pick up the phone. This is not a corporate issue, this is an issue with the management at this location specifically.

Don’t usually go to this location as I live in the east end of the city. While I was working after hours in the area and was recently refused to use the bathroom at the tim Hortons across the street which during I was having a medical issue, the staff happily allowed me to use the bathroom no questions asked. Will happily be continuing to support this location for all future purchases.

I dont appreciate being followed and watched like that like i am a criminal or something… lol susan i think you need to chill out or get a new job in security maybe if youre so worried of people stealing??? girl bye.

I’ve never left a bad review anywhere, but there’s a first for everything I suppose! Susan from the cosmetics department, this one is for you. She followed us up and down the aisles giving us dirty looks and was two feet away from us the whole time we were there. There were older ladies shopping in the same area as well, but she felt inclined to hover only behind us because we were younger. When we picked up an item to read the box, she instantly yelled at us and said we had to pay right then and there even though we had more things to grab. Not only was she shouting for no reason, but her demeanour was also incredibly hostile and she nearly grabbed my wrist to stop me from walking away… just awful and ageist behaviour. We come to this shoppers very often, so it was disappointing.

ANSWER YOUR PHONE!! This place has gotten really bad, huge issue is that they never answer their phone anymore. I've had to drive in just to get ahold of them. I feel sorry for the people with no vehicles that can't do this, and waste hours on the phone waiting for them to pick up. Part of your job is answering the phone and communicating with others. It's gotten really bad. Something needs to be done it's unacceptable.

After my third time explaining to them that a 30 day prescription doesn't mean I pick up my prescription the same day one month later when the month has 31 days, I switched my pharmacy. Absolutely deplorable that I had to explain it as many times as I did. Do better.

I’m absolutely disgusted with the customer service of the pharmacy team. It sucks because there are a select few that want to help the rest…..awful. I went to get my infant son his prescription and was told I had to pay full price (117.00) because he may have insurance under my coverage instead of putting it under the Ontario act for free prescriptions for children. All because the store would lose money. You mean the billion dollar corporation? Hmmmm. These were inhalers for my 2 year old so he can breathe better. And then I was told I could transfer them and when that pharmacy asked for them to transfer they gave them a hard time about it. All for a buck. How about for the health of the kids in need.

The women pharmacists are rude, but the men pharmacists are not bad at all.The whole store gets 1 star because they should know better. I'll update this Shoppers store to 5 stars when the most educated personnel at this place represent their profession in a professional manner. I'm sick and tired of hearing them gossip about me every single time I go there to pick up my medications/get advice about on shelf drugs. I will start looking for ways to convince their managers of who's doing and or saying what; if it doesn't stop. ?
