I enjoy shopping at Value Village for misc items for the house, but I feel their book prices tend to be too high.

This place has no shame in gouging people with their prices. I've got the perfect summation of this: I went in there recently and they had a brand new t-shirt priced at $10.50. Finally, it appears that there's a decent price on an item for a change. I then notice that the sleeve is ripped. Think about that; they are charging $10.50 for a ripped and ruined t-shirt. Like I said, they have no shame and they are a disgrace, taking people's donations and having the audacity to gouge customers like this. I'd urge everyone to not only stop shopping here, but donate your items elsewhere as well.

I will never go there again! I have never been more insulted in my life!My husband and I went, and yes, we did buy things, and would have bought moreif it weren't for the security guard, and manager, who kept following us around like I was going to steal something. It was so awkward and weird that I was beginning to question myself. My husband too .We have never had this ever happen to us before and we have gone all over the world. We are chronic cruisers. We travel. We are both retired. Christian. And Reasonably well off, meaning, we vacation every year, and worked hard all our lives so we could..This was very insulting and degrading. We own two homes, property, 3 Vehicles ,we are Grandparents, and we are not going to throw it all away to steal a garage sale item.. we like vintage. It is the only reason I was there to begin with. Not undermining the significance of other people, just stressing I have no reason to steal garage sale items. If I were a thief I would steal something worth getting into trouble for, dont you think!!!??Do we not look fancy enough? What was it?The other value village never did that to us. Nor did any of the high end stores we have gone to. Didnt you see my engagement ring and wedding band? Do you have any idea??!Even when I went to look at the glasses, two employees hung over my shoulder like a couple of vultures. Cheap used plastic glasses.....isn't that a bit much??? I was trying them on and seeing in the mirror. I like vintage, but I gave up, because I felt uncomfortable. They weren't even inconspicuous about it lolNope. Never againSo the one lady remembers, with the long hair, who was breathing down my throat too, she pointed out that there were two of the same pair. Covered in rhinestone- yes, I was being nice to you, but I didn't appreciate your obvious judgement or unfounded suspicion. Or the security guard. We left in a a truck that was probably worth more than your yearly salaries combined... idi-ts.

Love the variety of items there but I'm not very pleased how you donate a bunch of things don't get paid for the stuff you donate nor do you get a discount and you donate things for free and then you see them on the shelf for $5-$20 plus depending on the items..Kind of ashamed to see things resold for profit when they already have a huge corporation.

Dear, I'm writing you this message in regards to your store in Windsor, Ontario. The staff members working in that store are rude, unfriendly, not service minded and in my opnion racist! The lady with the blond hair claiming to be the manager is the worst kind of employee I have ever encoutered.People of all races, financial statusses and colour come to shop at Value Village. I would expect that each person would be treated with respect and kindness but unfortunately none of this is true.I will be getting the word out to all people I know to stay away from this store!

This place was ok. More expensive than other thrift stores, but not terrible! They definitely have a lot of selection and are constantly replenishing the shelves, so that keeps me coming back when I'm looking for something specific. I do find that their debit machines often have issues, so be prepared to use cash if you can.

I love thrifting, half of my closet is thrifted for crying out loud! But most of those items weren't overpriced when I got them. Value Village try's to put on a good look, but it is all FAKE. I thought you were supposed to be doing good and helping the community. Tell me why one pair of jeans is the same price it would be at the store for new. I'll tell you why. Because they are GREEDY. did you know that they make 100% of the profit back to themselves? And mostly all of it just goes right back into their own pockets. It's highway robbery with the prices these days. They saw that gen z was starting to get most of their clothes from thrifting and conveniently raised the prices by 50%.You are better off just selling the clothes yourself or donating to a local shop rather than a big chain. they are greedy and selfish and don't care about the community, just what is going back into their pockets.

Because of covid they no longer have changing rooms. I asked a store clerk if I purchased some clothes if they could be returned for a store credit or exchange if they did not fit. She told me yes. Today when I returned over $100 worth of items that do not fit me I was told no store credits,ON THE SPOT EXCHANGE ONLY, AND MUST BE WITHIN 14 DAYS AND HAVE ALL TAGS AND RECEIPTS. (FYI for those who didn't know) it is stated at the front that it's only for clothing. But they do Not state at the front, that there is no store credit. So I was supposed to search through the store at that moment and find a hundred bucks worth of stuff that may or may not fit me.??The manager was downright ignorant and didn't care that her employee told me false information and didn't care that I spent a lot of money that I would not have spent had I known the truth about "exchange" policy rulesShe didn't smile and apologize that I was told wrong information and or offer a one time gift certificate for the amount of the return as an apology for the misinformation and to keep good customer satisfaction and service. The truth is I would not have taken home nearly as many items if I thought I had to exchange on the spot only. I would have only risked one or two of the items, not as many as I did. I thought I could get a store credit and Shop whenever I wanted.Instead all she could do was very straight-faced impatiently repeat the rules. She didn't really have any other conversation. I suggest she's not the best at customer service and perhaps a new manager might be needed. One who would maybe wash her hair before she comes to work and try to work with the customer a little bit more than nasty face recite the rules. She didn't seem too concerned about having an unhappy customer. Nor that I had been given wrong information..

Good place for shopping. But the prices are supposed to be lower than that because all their goods are from free sources. Elsewhere I can find lower prices. Also, some of the goods are very old and useless.

It's a thrift store which is helping in saving environment but What I feel was price was bit higher as compared to other thrift stores although variety was large like clothes footware stationary jewellery and electronics but they should provide much good quality as compared to their price.

Horrible business. People should donate to other places instead. Prices are only go up even more after Value village go on the stock market. I also find these reviews weird. Everytime someone leaves a bad review, a few accounts balance it off with 5 star reviews. Review manipulation? ?

Waited at the display cabinet for over 10 minutes and ignored by two works. Went to cash out and was directed to a self checkout which I do not use. I told the person I don’t use self checkouts, could I be cashed out, was again directed to the self checkout. This is disgusting customer service. No should be forced to use self checkout, what a shameful practice

This is a great value village. Big and we'll stocked with all kinds of cool things. Bought these beautiful glass items for $25.00
