I was in here wanted to know if I can change $20 bill to loonies and toonies. The male teller said he’s in training and doesn’t know but he also said he’s confident can’t do. So I ask him can I speak to someone who’s not in training to make sure. He then all a sudden said he’s an assistant manager. I’m disappointed not because I couldn’t get change but because that particular teller lied one way or another, if he is so a real assistant manager then he should be demoted. Who knows what else he could have lied.

Stunned with the lack of empathy and understanding for customers at this branch. Yesterday I walked into this branch to deposit money at the ATM, but it froze after inserting my money and card. The lady at the front desk seemed to be the only one with common sense and directed me to the managers. However, they took their time to acknowledge me and offer help. Eventually, one of them asked about my issue and told me to go back to the ATM. I waited there for assistance but nothing happened.When the front desk lady returned, she asked if anyone had helped me, and upon learning that no one did, she directed me to a teller (Jenelle?). She didn't apologize for the inconvenience, which was frustrating because I had just made an online purchase with that card, and I was worried about my order being affected. I insisted I wanted my card back if possible. She assured me it would be fine, but my order was canceled a few hours later, as I received an email confirming it. I understand it wasn't her fault that the ATM took my card, but customer satisfaction and a positive experience are essential aspects of a teller's job in most banking and financial institutions. I felt a sense of negligence from the managers and teller at this branch.I requested my original card back, but it wasn't possible. I ended up spending an hour updating all my online accounts with the new card information. Overall, this branch has a poor attitude from the top down. I appreciate the front desk lady's patience and understanding, but the rest of the experience deserves only 1 star.

Can't speak for their customer service but it was frustrating and surprising to learn that at 9pm on a week day, the doors to the ABMs are locked. This is not what a major bank in a busy part of the city does.

I was just in here at noon to redeem a mutual fund and close out my my account. I set up the appointment on Saturday and the ladies at the front desk were very helpful in getting that done. Dimple helped my out with this and was able to provide me with the simplest method of getting my money out the bank and was able to do a transfer to my main banking institution. Dimple was very helpful with simplifying this process with no trouble at all. With this great experience I had today, I would definitely consider dealing with Scotiabank in the future, especially at this branch.
