I had a brake repair job for my daughters Mazda and was on a pretty tight schedule. Edmar answered the phone a few minutes after regularly scheduled hours, listened to my situation and worked me into the schedule for early the next week. He diagnosed a problem, ordered parts and had the repair done on the Monday. Edmar also recommended a future tire purchase but advised it could wait a couple months. His shop is not fancy or flashy but his exceptional service and honest repairs more than make up for it.

I had a hospital Emergency, but had problems with my car. I called Edmar and told him my situation. He said take it down. I'm very busy, but will fit you in. So he did and I made my appointment. I DO recommend him for any auto problems. Kevin.

This has been my experience with this shop.
Over charged on Parts.
Parts required for the job average is $265.43 with delivery and HST. I was Charge $782.87 with HST. 95% over charge on parts.
Labour its fine. $110.00 per hour. Total labour charge 3 hours $330.00 plus HST
Total estimated profit for the Jobs.
$330.00 Labour & $692.80 for parts without HST
$1022.80 Profit.
For less than 2 hours job.
Its a rip off.

I had heard about how amazing Edmar’s was and just had an amazing experience myself. One of my brakes needed new pads and rotors - I called Edmar at 2:30 and he said he’d squeeze me in next day to get it done. He ended up having it done that day in a few hours, and the price was very reasonable. Incredible mechanic experience.

An amazing and most trusted mechanic. I have had all sorts of negative experiences in the past. However Ed and his team are all professional when it comes to the car and truly a joy to chat with.
They have repaired and helped maintain my car for a while now and I have had a better car for it!
I highly recommend to give them a call and set up and appointment.
Parking can be a bit tricky but a side street or right in front of the shop and they will take care of the rest.

Edmar’s Auto Service is an absolute gem in Toronto. Ever since moving to the city, I was on the lookout for a reliable and honest mechanic. A friend recommended Edmar, and I have not looked back! Along with routine tune ups and oil changes, Edmar helped immensely when my car was written off in a hit and run. He was able to do the necessary inspections/certifications to get it back on the road, as well as recommend a body shop to get it back to looking great. He’s straightforward and honest, and as someone who knows nothing about cars, I never feel like he is taking advantage of that fact. I can’t recommend Edmar and his shop enough! 100/10!
