I hired these misfits to move me and thought how hard is it to load a truck. The initial quote went from $7000. to $9000. and I was specific about what to take. I gave them $100. for some dinner and then they did some more work and just took off without saying anything. So the idiots left my camping gear and coolers, my laser table saw, my brand new deck box and the list goes on. I figured the value was at least $3000. When they finally got to the destination they had held my belongings hostage until I paid an extra $3500. and to make matters worse I had to pay the guys an extra $400. to carry some stuff to the basement. I am just numb and P..off about the crap I wen through........................OKAY FOLKS DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU HAVE IT IN WRITING.......BUYER BEWARE.

Please before you decide to use this company, look them up on the Better Business Bureau. I wish I had have. Our experience was nothing short of horrific, including extortion to get all of our belongings back. I heard about this company from a positive experience someone else had. It seems like sometimes they do complete the moving service, and sometimes they take opportunities to extort their customers (see Better Business Bureau complaints). Our experience was: We submitted an inventory and were quoted 5.5 hours of moving with two movers. It took them over 7 hours to load the contents of a one-bedroom apartment into their truck. We found out that they declined an offer from the resident manager to put the elevator on service for them, and moved slowly taking one item out at a time. Video footage of them in the common areas confirmed our suspicion that they were completing the move purposefully slowly. After 7-hours, they told us the truck wouldn't start. When we contacted the company manager, Sam, he was aggressive and confrontational. He threatened to unload all of our belongings onto the street, now at night as the move-out had taken so long. We had to try to talk him down although we were in a position of feeling like we had no power. They took all of our belongings to their facility saying that they would deliver them at some point the next day. They didn't know when. We felt like our belongings were being held hostage, and Sam continued to make threatening remarks. We were very scared of our belongings being somehow damaged or "lost" because of remarks that the manager made. We later learned that the threat was around extorting us for more money, not damage, but we were scared and felt helpless. We had no belongings and had to find somewhere to stay overnight. We read other reviews on Better Business Bureau where the company charges the credit card used for deposits with exorbitant fees or changes quotes overnight. We looked and our quote had changed now to a total of $1400 for a secondary move on the next day. The next day, two new movers arrived at our new home. They refused to unload the truck or turn over any belongings unless we paid a fee of over $2,100 (not including the deposit already paid). Over $1000 more than our original quote. They refused to show us any invoice. The company did not respond to any calls. We felt trapped as they had ALL of our belongings in the truck. We had to pay under protest. We learned that a moving company withholding your items while demanding additional fees is an offence under the Consumer Protection Act. After we later received our invoices, we saw they charged us for multiple travel times which were not used, the full time used by their movers on the first day, and several hours on the second day even though the movers only worked for 1-hour. I have had only positive experiences with movers before using Happy Endings. Please, please do not make the same mistakes that we did by using this company. It is not worth the risk. We found out now that there is a Canadian Association of Movers. Next time we have need, we'll probably choose someone from this association.

For my previous three moves, I've hired the Get It Done Movers Company, and each time, they've impressed me. They always send hardworking workers, pick up and move my belongings quickly, and I've never had any problems with them.

They were competent, courteous, and professional. After shifting to the region, moving assisted us with unloading a moving truck and setting up our appliances.

From the moment I contacted the company for our move, Alexis made the whole process smooth and efficient. She kept me informed along the way about what to do. The movers were very fast, efficient, respectful of both residences and quickly completed the job. The seven hour job was estimated perfectly before the contract was signed. I definitely recommend this company for any moving needs!! I am very grateful for this efficient team.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of hiring Happy Ending Movers Canada for a move, and it was nothing short of a complete disaster. I wouldn't wish this company on my worst enemy. I wish I could give them zero stars, but one star is the lowest rating allowed. Unprofessionalism: Happy Ending Movers Canada defines unprofessionalism. From the moment they arrived, it was clear that they had no respect for their customers or their belongings. Their team was disorganized, rude, and acted as if they were doing us a favor by being there. They showed up late, didn't introduce themselves properly, and seemed more interested in chatting with each other than getting the job done. Upfront Payment Hassle: One of the most infuriating aspects of dealing with Happy Ending Movers Canada was their insistence on demanding payment upfront. They were practically begging for money before they had even begun moving a single item. It felt like they were more interested in our money than in providing a service. Delayed Service: To add insult to injury, Happy Ending Movers Canada did not complete the job on time. They were slow, inefficient, and seemed to have no concept of time management. What should have been a relatively straightforward move turned into a never-ending nightmare. We were left waiting for hours on end, and they showed no remorse for the inconvenience they caused. Damage to Belongings: The pinnacle of their incompetence came when they managed to damage our expensive TV and TV stand. Their carelessness was astonishing. It was clear that they had no regard for the fragile nature of our electronics and furniture. When we pointed out the damage, they refused to take any responsibility for it and brushed it off as if it was our fault. Lack of Customer Support: As if the moving day itself wasn't enough of a nightmare, our experience with Happy Ending Movers Canada continued to deteriorate in the days following the move. We realized the extent of the damage to our TV and TV stand only after the chaos of the move had subsided. We promptly contacted the company via email to initiate a claim for the damages, following the procedure outlined in their contract. However, what followed was a complete lack of responsiveness on their part. Our emails seemed to disappear into a void, never receiving so much as an acknowledgment, let alone a substantive response. It was as if they had a policy of ignoring customer complaints altogether. We also tried calling their customer service line multiple times, but it felt like we were shouting into the void. They consistently failed to pick up the phone, and when they did, we were met with excuses and vague promises of someone getting back to us, which never happened. Evading Responsibility: Happy Ending Movers Canada's refusal to take responsibility for the damages was infuriating. It was clear that they had no intention of honoring their obligations under their contract, which explicitly stated that they would cover damages caused during the move. Their dismissive attitude towards our concerns and their lack of communication left us feeling cheated and helpless. This complete lack of accountability and responsiveness only added insult to injury. It's one thing to make a mistake, but it's another to dodge responsibility and ignore your customers' pleas for resolution. We have now filed a BBB Complaint and waiting to hear from them.

If I could give negative stars, I certainly would. This company feels professional at the beginning, providing you with the ability to make a detailed inventory, which they base their estimate on. They had a cute name, the salesperson seemed helpful - yeah this move will be a breeze, 3 guys can definitely lift that piano, it will only take 5 hours! I went with them due to their estimate, obviously understanding that there may be 10-15% additional costs as an estimate isn't set in stone. As this was my first time using a moving company, I wasn't sure what to expect. The movers themselves were nice, obviously inexperienced, obviously subcontracted, obviously untrained and unprepared - arrived in an unmarked van without the proper materials, took hours to set up the "FREE" wardrobe boxes that were promised, damaged/broke items, wrapped things up with packing tape (which damaged/took paint off shelves, etc.), took twice as long as the quote and required an entire extra person (which wasn't included in the first quote but that I was willing to pay for with the second estimate of $1500), were very difficult to communicate with and didn't even know how to move a box spring through a stairwell properly. We have huge scratches on the walls and front room - my dresser was damaged, a light was completely smashed. The quote that was originally for $1100 went up to $1500 IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVE and then skyrocketed to $2067 when the movers finally finished, although nothing in my inventory changed. Then they fraudulently used the credit card information I put through their website for the one-time $200 booking deposit to charge me the additional $1867, despite the fact that we were in the middle of disputing the charges and compensation for all the damages. This insane move is currently being investigated by my bank as fraud. I was even willing to pay the secondary quote of $1500 and was SHOCKED when the movers handed me the phone at the end of the move to talk to some mysterious guy named Archie from the company who demanded $2067 before they would even talk about addressing any concerns. After hours on the phone arguing with Sam, who appears to be the estimator/salesperson/manager/excuse-maker for the whole scam, and multiple emails that usually take them between 5-10 business days to respond to, they offered a $30 refund for the damaged furniture and a $240 refund for the extra trip they had to make because their moving van was too small/poorly packed to do it in one trip. There was no mention of addressing the damages to my home AND the refund is apparently contingent upon removing any negative reviews online so that they can keep trying to sweep their poor business practices under the carpet. They even tried to dispute my inventory, saying that there were extra items, even though there is no proof of this. Please please please do not hire this company. Save yourself the stress and headache of being scammed and hours trying to defend yourself from a company that obviously does this regularly and seeks to profit from taking advantage of people. I was willing to pay a fair rate for the services provided but they are obviously not willing to be reasonable. Reading the positive reviews here, I'm sure most are spam or paid for. This is a real review from a real person who actually used this company and wishes that she didn't. Like a previous reviewer, I laughed out loud when their most recent email included an offer of a $150 discount on my NEXT MOVE WITH THEM. Sir, please rest assured there will never be a next time with Happy Ending Movers.

I was very happy with these movers. I had a couch that I was unsure would fit in my basement. I first had a phone consult where we analyzed whether it would fit. I was told there was a chance it wouldn't but that they would try. They tried to move it and tried in many different ways, to no avail. They did not charge me for their time and instead, offered to house the couch at their warehouse while I found a buyer for the couch at no cost to me. Once I found a buyer, they quickly moved the couch to the buyer's home. Would recommend their services to all.

Absolutely horrible experience. Labourers were hard working and polite, but that's where it ends. The poor guys were untrained, unprepared and only 1 of the 4 were able to speak to us in English, which makes it difficult when you are trying to tell them what needs to be picked up, where things go, etc. They came to the house without proper moving equipment and did not seem to know how to fit things through doors (like couches and big items) or carry heavy items (like mattresses). One guy showed up in leather loafers and a Bill Cosby sweater. Honestly I felt bad for them and I'm glad no one got hurt. A few things were damaged, and they tried to back their large truck over my front lawn to get to my front door (I stopped them before they could). But the worst part has been with the Sales department and business as a whole. The initial quote they gave us was short of the adjusted price they gave us just before the move (despite our inventory not changing), then increased again after the move was complete. They charged our credit card nearly 2x the original quote. They say it was because of the time it took and the extra manpower needed (they booked 4 guys 5hrs to move a small bungalow that was already packed--it took them 9 hours). We have tried to work with Sales to settle on a more reasonable price but they refuse to budge, and charged our credit card without authorization. They tell us that we can dispute charges through their claims department, but I can see from reviews on the Better Business Bureau website that this will be futile. The Sales person on the phone refuses to let me speak with a manager or anyone else within the company, which makes me wonder if it's just him. Honestly, these guys are everything bad that you hear about movers; at least this all went down with our items off the truck (but then again, the labourers seemed very beginner... maybe they hadn't been trained up on the fundamentals of leverage).
