I came to Iron Alliance with little strength and no experience lifting anything heavier than a cute 5lbs dumbbell. I took the 6 week semi-private training program with the goal of losing weight and becoming stronger.- Iron Alliance offers a nice and welcoming atmosphere- they assess your fitness level and go from there; there is no judgement, and everyone is very encouraging- the coaches are professional and focus on good form to help clients avoid injuries and gain strength faster- classes are small with 6 people max, scheduling is very flexible- I was pushed to do more every class, and the coaches have enough experience to know my limits and pushed me just enough- as part of the semi-private training program, I received a meal plan and an accountability tracker to keep me on track on my journey- the suggested meal plan was easy to follow, I never felt hungry even though I was in a 700-1000 calorie deficit every day and actually struggled to finish my meals because they were THAT filling- I noticed an improvement in my mood and I started looking forward to my training x3 a week (that was really surprising, I’ve always hated exercising)- results: I lost 12lbs, became stronger, my pre-existing shoulder injury is gone (shout out to Angel for recommending some extra resistance band exercises to do at home to stabilize my shoulder)The pricing may seem high at first, but when you consider the small class size (6 people or less), the quality of coaching and the care they put into helping each client reach their goals, the program is priced fairly.

I started training with Lanre and Liv in November as I was struggling to get into a routine and see any progress on my own. In a short 9 weeks, I have so much more energy and have accomplished more than I ever thought possible! My husband now teases me that I can carry him around the house. A big thank you to the entire team at Iron Alliance for creating such a welcoming environment and to Liv and Lanre for providing personalized guidance!

I love Iron Alliance! I've been coming for over a year. When I first started I couldn't even squat with zero weight. Now I can squat 180lbs. Wow! Liv and Lanre are amazing coaches who care about their gym family. This is a wonderful place to get fit.

Great gym! I was on the look out for a semi-private gym experience after moving to Toronto and Iron Alliance checked all of the boxes. Great trainers, thoughtful exercise plans each day and flexible class hours are just some of the things that they can offer. Can't wait to keep working at my goals with Lanre, Olivia and the rest of the crew here!

I've been strength training on and off for 8 years and wanted to find a gym that offered me support as I got back into lifting. I decided to give Iron Alliance a try with their 6 week program. Before my first session, I met with coach Lanre to assess where I'm currently at and so that he could build a program tailored to my needs and individual goals - which was to lose weight while building strength.Classes have no more than 6 people so that the trainer can properly work with everyone and provided assistance with form or modifications if needed. You're pushed to give it your all, but never to the point of being dangerous or to injury. The community at IAAC is fantastic - everyone is so supportive, no matter where you are in your fitness journey. After the 6 week challenge was up, I had noticeably increased my strength and had lost 21 lbs and 4 inches off my waist. Lanre and Liv would make tweaks to my plan if needed and continued to provide support whenever needed.Whether you're looking to start strength training for the first time or are an old pro at it, IAAC is a great place to work out.

This Gym is a wonderful, Homey and family base experience to had. I would not trade it for any of the bigger commercialized gym. I would certainly recommend to anyone to try it out.

6 Weeks In:Maybe you're reading this wondering if you should sign up for the Intro to Weightlifting program you saw on your Insta feed. Here's my unbiased review from the other end.I had been long-distance running for about 12 years but was looking to add some strength to my game as I had roughly ZERO. I was always shy about using weights at the gym since I had no experience and the bad taste of "always last picked" in back gym class.I met with Lanre, one of the head coaches at the gym and he explained how this gym was different then most of the other options in the area: A small shop focused on making lifting accessible to ALL, focused on education, prioritizing range-of-motion and technique, and fostering a supportive gym culture and community. So I took a chance and decided to give it my all for six weeks.Liv and Lanre worked with me to explain what was required. Our first session evaluated my current mobility and fitness level and then a daily stretching regimen was prescribed based on these tests. I thought it was great that they were able to meet me where I was physically, and gave me advice based on my goals.Throughout these six weeks I did 2 classes weekly. the classes were no bigger than 6 people which made it easy to ask questions and get help on my form. I learned how to do back squats, deadlifts, RDLs (Romanian Deadlifts), bench presses and other lifts. It was great to be in a class full of like-minded folks of all ages and abilities. There was zero toxic attitudes or behaviour and the other members were really supportive. The classes always push me to my limit, but never into danger. Safety and education is always prioritized. We usually warm up with stretches, then some lifting exercises, which always start with light warmups for form, and push progressive increase in weight. We also do some conditioning work. It's been a very different "gear" of fitness than I was used to with running.SO, at the end of six weeks I had to decide whether to keep going. The gym is a bit far from me, so I looked at other options in the area and did a few trial classes elsewhere. I found that nobody else was offering what Liv and Lanre had created at Iron Alliance: guidance to lift heavy weights to push you towards your goals, nutrition and recovery support, and a likeminded community of nice folks where everyone is supportive and nobody's attitude will ever ruin your workout.I hope this helps you decide if Iron Alliance is for you. If it is, I look forward to meeting you soon. Good luck, and be strong!(EDIT: I should also add I'm loving the results of the training. Even after 6 weeks I notice a huge difference in my physique, energy level, and even my mood)

Love this place and the staff! This is new to me, and I was worried I could not keep up. I feel encouraged and supported in this community, and on my "get to better health" journey. Thank you for that!

I have been at Iron Fitness for 7 weeks. I am a 59 year old woman with no experience lifting weights and have tried everything to lose belly fat. All the trainers have been very supportive and challenge me at the same time. I can attend class at anytime and the quality of the instructor is always the best. I already have more energy and have lost weight and inches and feel much stronger.

I’m thrilled with my experience at IAAC. I needed a new physical activity and feel lucky to have found this place. The small groups make it possible for the trainer to keep eyes on me the whole time to help me adjust postures and make sure I don’t hurt myself as I try new things. The trainer plans individual modifications specific to the ability level of the bodies present. The encouragement from coaches and other members is a joy, and makes it easier to feel the competition is against my 59 yr old self, rather than comparing myself to others. The nutritional and recovery support is also essential to how great I’m feeling with this new activity. After four weeks of my 12 week program I’m looking forward to each class and can’t wait to see where I’ll be at the end of each week.
