My hubby & I found this gem by happenstance while simply looking for a quick lunch. We were passing through town headed north on the coast. We knew we wanted to tinker a little bit around Gold Beach because it's a small quaint community. Stopped to get groceries at McKay's and my husband saw this down the street.
We were greeted with a warm welcome and very personal service. Gregarious & outgoing owners, Michele & Steve, who clearly care about the community. We were told they had just supported a rockin' street party the prior day.
I had a smoked turkey provolone sandwich with homemade bread, fresh tomato and lettuce. It was very tasty! My husband had a bomb tuna melt sandwich. We also purchased some chocolate chip cookies, zucchini muffins to satisfy the sweet tooth and some charcuterie style salami.
We'll definitely be making Old Agnes Store a regular stop every time we come through this community. Great people & great quality food. We were told they purchase a lot of their ingredients locally to support the areas economy (an added bonus).

So here's how we ended up at Old Agness. I was sitting in the parking lot of McKay's grocery store waiting for my wife and I looked up across the street about a block up and saw a flashing open sign. So I grabbed my binoculars and looked up the block to see the old Agness store and something about a bakery. I looked them up on Google and discovered they made sandwiches.
When my wife got back we headed up there for one of the most amazing food experiences we've had in a long time. As we entered the door Steve and Michelle greeted us with a hello and a warm welcome. I started talking to Steve the sandwich maestro only to discover that he baked the bread that morning, made his grandma's tuna melt recipe with local albacore I didn't know I was about to order.
We thought we were going to get our sandwiches to go but Michelle highly recommended that we sit down especially to eat the tuna melt. She set us up at a little table and we waited for one of the best experiences I've ever had with a sandwich. First of all you're not eating this thing with your hands it takes a knife and fork. The toast was toasted perfectly and there was so much tuna and cheese that it was oozing out all the sides. The Swiss and provolone cheese in the sandwich were from small Kraft creamery cheese artisans.
They also have things like small batch jams and jellies, barbecue sauces etc. I picked up a smoked blue cheese from a local Oregon creamery. So if you want an experience where you're being treated like an old friend or even like family, and eating some amazing food; then go to Old Agness and say hi to Steve and Michelle.

Steve & Michelle are a couple of truly great, genuine people.
I've been in the spicy food, hot sauce collecting / consuming communities for a few years now, and they have always been kind, upstanding givers...
Their products speak for themselves....and dont get me started on those spicy brownies and baked treats. The best!.

I walked in and they quickly made a charcuterie board within minutes for me. Such a nice atmosphere. So many delicious baked goods. Fresh loaves of bread coming out of the oven. Wines, olives, sauces. And Agness tomatoes!

yesterday, my daughter and I had lunch there and I had the most amazing tuna melt I have ever had and the vegetable soup was delicious. Highly recommended very good. Telling everybody about it already-

An absolute gem. The owner welcomed us in, introducing everyone by name, offering samples of almost everything in the store. Everyone working there was so friendly and warm. We felt lucky to have some time with them before the place became swamped. I came here looking for a cup of soup (based on what I saw on Google reviews) and my entire family left with full bellies and full hearts. What an amazing place this is! I’m so glad we stopped in on our way through town. The food was outstanding- you’d never know it was all gluten free- an added perk! Best cheesy cornbread ever. We also got a couple of their awesome gluten-free brownies- the mint one and the coconut one & they are just decadent and so yummy. They also have a full wall of hot sauces that my husband checked out while our food was being made. Do yourself a favor and stop in. You won’t regret it. This is one of those places we’ll return to every chance we get.

This place is an absolute gem! Myself, my husband and our kids are all highly sensitive celiacs and had zero reaction - they take extreme caution to ensure everything is prepared safely. Everything we tried was amazing; best tuna I’ve ever had and my kids are obsessed with the cookies. Hands down the best food we ate during our week in Gold Beach. And if you enjoy high quality hot sauces with the most unique and delicious flavor profiles, this is your spot! We ended up having over a dozen shipped to our house on the other side of the country because they were that good. Thank you Steve and Michele and your staff for making our vacation extra special!

An incredibly charming place. Stopped by here multiple times while I was staying in town to pick up hot sauce, bratwursts and other delights. Michele and Steve are SUCH great folks and I can't say enough about how welcoming and hospitable they are.

This was our first trip to Gold Beach coming from Sisters, and from the very first moment we walked into the store we knew we had found a very special treasure. Steve and Michele are some of the very sweetest and most genuine people we have ever met. You can immediately tell that there is so much love from their delicious bone broth soups to their gluten free delights. We highly recommend stopping and indulging in anything these two lovely people offer. Thank you so very much to you three :-)

We stopped in to check out their Gluten Free cookies and brownies and were floored at the quality of the items. Their GF Oatmeal Raisin is the best cookie I've ever had, impossible to tell it is GF. Their White Chocolate cookie melted in my mouth. Their brownies are equally delicious and creative. Their signature recipe original brownies have a dash of hot sauce in them. It's a nice twist that is delicious. And they aren't hot. In speaking with the owner, she spent 5 years developing her GF baking recipes and the TLC clearly shows in the high quality. BTW they started creating their own hot sauce and now they sell dozens of hot sauces including a good number of local ones. You'll also find a great selection of local cheeses, including a Rogue Creamery Smokey Blue that is heavenly. Can't forget, Steve, makes the soup and if you happen to be there when they have his 7-protein soup, get a quart! Even though this review is focused on GF, they also serve food prepared with gluten, all kept separate in the kitchen. Enjoy!

Amazing little store, wonderful selection of any kind of hot sauce for your spice level, delicious treats. Would highly recommend shopping their website or, if have a chance would visit in person looks like a charming little store, unfortunately I'm on other side and in a different country but well worth a peek.

This is one of the neatest little places in Gold Beach. Everything is gluten-free, they have a wide range of hot sauces, jellies, jams, multi- brownies, charcuterie boards, cheeses, Grab & Go soups and so much more besides the owners are super friendly and wonderful happy people!
