My boyfriend got me a gift certificate for a mani pedi, didn’t notice it had an expiration date… I couldn’t get my service because I had a nail allergy and had to wait for my skin to calm. not sure why a gift certificate would have an expiration, $80 down the drain. On top of that when I called the man on the phone just laughed continuously when I asked where the $80 went, if there was anything they could do for me, etc. I’ve never experienced someone so rude in the salon industry.
Edit: yes I am leaving this review because of a lack of refund. $80 is $80! That’s a tank of gas! My boyfriend prepaid for a service and IT WAS NOT PERFORMED. $80 for me to be laughed at on the phone. There shouldn’t be a time limit. $80 is $80!!! Even if the service had a price change in the last year I would have paid the difference! But instead the owners want to pocket that money for no work.

Made an appointment 2 days in advance. Showed up for my appointment time. Person that answered the door to act like they didn't know anything about it. Never wrote down my appointment. Very unprofessional and a waste of my time will never go there again and will never encourage anybody else to go there!To respond to your reply: why would I call a Beaverton establishment when I live in Albany? I showed my phone call log to your staff. The woman that answered the door was shown the number called on 6/21. She confirmed that it was your number. I called three times that day to get through to you. When I made the appointment, no one mentioned that you were not taking new clients and I did make an appointment with you for today, 6/24 at 10 am. When I showed up, I was told to go to the mall to get my nails done. At least be honest. You forgot to write down my appointment. Period! It's fine, you lost a potential customer that tips very well. And I don't appreciate being called a liar. So I went to the mall. Thank you Excellent Nails for getting me in right away and treating me like a valued customer.

I went and got a pedicure and a full set done and I am very happy with the results. I showed Kim a couple of different ideas that I had, and tried to let her have full reign, (except for I am a little bit controlling) with doing my nails and she did an absolutely beautiful job. I just wanted to chime in and say the lack of accountability in the responses to negative reviews is so unprofessional that it makes someone reading reviews turned off to visiting. These aren't hate comments on a social media post. Hearing negative reviews should push you to do better, not get defensive.
