I agree with a couple of the other posts. She talks about other's business all the time and has asked me personal questions that have nothing to do with my taxes. I had been using this place for years, when her mom was running it. Monica took over when Donna retired and it has went downhill, each year she gets more and more nosy. We stopped using her last year because of her judgment and nosy questions. I have asked her "Why does the IRS need to know that?" and she responded with "I was just curious".

We started going to Donna in 2019 after in 2018 one of the chain places screwed up our taxes. She did an amazing job and was fast, we are able to just drop off our documents. She is available for any questions and is patient and courteous! She really knows her stuff and I don’t see going anywhere else.

With Monica it's not all about your taxes she wants to know Everything about you your family , she name drops ! She will reel you in to her lastest gossip ! Trust me she will drop names till she finds someone she can talk about . When you finally get to why you are there and you give her your tax information she will question you Example your claiming your father? Yes! I am I have been for 8 years. Does he live with you? Uh yes he does ! What makes you think you can claim him ?? Me excuse me I am his full Time Care giver ? Monica: just because he doesn't file taxes doesn't mean you can claim him ! Me : Yes it does! Do I really need to tell her I have to bath him , take him to all his Dr appointment and when he is out of control I have to put my father penis in a urinal Really !! Does she need to know that he didn't put anything away for retirement and that he would be on the streets if we didn't take him in ! what qualify her to need to know our private business ? She said I don't qualify for tax deduction ! To me her question are go past the information needed to do taxes on several occasions it boarder on HIPA violation what she claims is her doing due diligence boarders on invasion of privacy. And by the way, I do !qualify for the dependent deduction and honestly it not enough for what a caregiver has to go through !!! She should have stopped at yes ! I am claiming my dad on my taxes . No one should have to go through what she puts us through it should be yes no and here are my w2 and my deduction. Even if you have the paper work she wants to know more . She will look at all your medical bills not the amounts but, she will ask why were at the Dr or Hospital for? again none of her business they were my expenses bills I paid not to be Judged by her instead of just having my taxes done I feel defensive and judged in 45 years filing taxes have I ever been through something like this the worst part is there is more to my story! I agree with the last person on yelp if I could give a minus 1 I would ! To me this is not professional and I took my stuff from her after paying her and took it to someone else who had no question and no judgement .

So far I've had a great experience! I initially tried getting my taxes done through a free in person tax service, but they said I would owe a lot of money. Especially for never having owed money before and nothing in my income taxes have changed. I then tried doing it myself online, which ended in the same thing, me owing a lot of money. I finally took some advice and went to Donna Banks Tax Service and ended up getting a pretty hefty refund back, more than I have ever gotten before! If I could give one con, I think she could work on her people skills a little bit, she sometimes seems on the cold side. But many people need to work on that in this day of age. Besides that, I think her work and knowledge in tax service is exceptional! Will definitely be using her again.

Monica @ Donna Banks worked her magic once again for our family. My daughter was told she had to owe taxes . I told her to go see Monica for a second opinion and now she is getting a refund:) She is so happy- she actually told me I was right.
