Decent layout although it’s a wee bit smaller than my local Fred Meyer where I shop. Yet no matter which one I shop I can always find just what I’m seeking.

The digital coupons have made me decide to never step foot in the Albany store again. They are purposefully vague with the signage in the store, and then when you get to the register, they will not honor the coupons for the items you selected. Today was the last straw. They had soup for $1 a can, and their signs was so vague about quantity limits, made to sound like it was a 6 transaction limit, rather than a 6 item limit in very small print. I get up to the register and am about to pay, and suddenly there is a problem. I ended up just telling them to cancel out all of the soups, and refused to play their game of "maybe he will just buy them al at regular price since he is already at checkout" Never-mind the fact that their digital coupon scheme is nothing more than them harvesting data to sell to advertisers, and that their app is a hot garbage that does not even work half the times I actually tried to use it. Fred Meyer is on the no go list from now on. There is not a single item that I need that I can't get at WinCo for at least the same price or less without playing their stupid app and digital coupon games. Also, let's not forget how the CEO raked in a cool 20,000,000 bonus while they stole employee's hazard pay during Covid. That alone is reason enough to boycott.

On the first Tuesday of the month of September, I asked the checkout person to apply the senior discount. I am over 60 and only shop about once a month there. I arrived home to find that she had not applied a 10% senior discount to my total receipt. Now I will have to stand in line at customer service with my receipt.

Love shopping here, the self check stand Staff are more helpful than anyone else, very knowledgeable and friendly. Great produce and meat selections. The remodel is looking wonderful, much easier to find organic options having them mixed in instead of an organic section, and I’m so glad they expanded the grocery section, though I LOVE their home goods. Great place to find new Squismallows and accessories.

Frankly, Fred Meyer's has always been great. Even with the rather sizable redesign of their ibside layout, they have ensured that products are still accessable even while expanding the product lines they are now - or will be very soon - carrying.Their staff has always been able to direct me to any item I have not been able to find - and - are quite friendly in the act of doing so!There is only one point of consistent confusion I have had about all the things that they have continues to carry throughout the years. That confusion is the amount of inner-real estate they dedicate to items like pieces of furniture such as small couches, stools, hanging wall decorations, small tables, end-pieces and so on.Many stores function well as micro-department stores. These types of stores are typically broken down into areas for food / produce, cleaning supplies, business & school products (pens, paper, file folders and the like), and then a varliety of clothing, a gardening section, a bedding & towel area, hardware / auto section, and finally an electronics area. The "departments" mentioned above seem to be what most of these micro-department stores emulate. However, in the case of Fred Meyer, even with their new redesign, they seem to be dedicating almost the same amount of space as what a Walmart Super-Center does to the various furniture items being offered. As long as I have been shopping there I have never actually seen any of these stools, tables, or other pieces of furniture being sold. I suppose it is quite possible that customers purchasing such items have to go to some loading area I am simply not aware of. I have just never actually witnessed someone even so much as discussing any of those oddly grouped furniture items with a Fred Meyer clerk.Since Fred Meyer, as a whole, seems to be "on top" of so many other entire sections of their store that SOMETHING must be taking place in support of the sales of these furniture-type items that I am simply not aware of.However, at least on the surface, it seems like with the amount of restructuring for overall product presentation and "new space" for the increase of items they are now starting to carry, the space that has been dedicated to this very eclectic collection of furtuniture items might have been better utilized to service items that are obviously selling on a very consistent basis.I offer openly that my concern in this matter was not invited and quite it quite probably stems from a level of ignorance as to the "why" behind the ongoing decision to continue to carry such products in the first place. I only offer this concern because "local stores" such as that of Fred Meyer, even in their expansion, continue to maintain a small-town feel and, like most everyone that shops there, I just hope for the very best in their long term efforts toward supporting this community. My goodness, what a rant! My apologies to anyone that decided to suffer through tge reading of all of this ~ haha! All that aside, their staff has been wonderful over the years. When combined with all they make available to the buying public, Fred Meyer really does offer a clean, safe environment and is an all-round great place to shop!

Fred Meyer is a nice store for grocery shopping. They have a little bit of everything so it's truly one-stop shopping. The produce is good, the bulk item area is nice, and they've recently expanded in a way that will allow for more products on the shelf. They need a bigger selection and not just Kroger everything. They have clothes, jewelry, and some home furniture. Clean store.

The produce section seems to carry a nice variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. I prefer their produce section over other grocery stores in this town. I haven't had an issue with any of my produce there. The bakery department offers a variety of baked goods like cakes, breads, cookies, and other pastries. They don't seem to have as much of a variety as they used to, but there are still plenty of products to choose from. Check the rack over by the milk for closeout stickers on bakery products. I've found plenty of great discounted breads and baked goods over the years. The meat department is always well stocked when I shop there. Some of the prices are too high, but they often have a good meat sale. I recently purchased a beautiful roast on sale, and it was delicious. They also had boneless chicken on sale as well. I recommend stocking up during their sales if you have a freezer.I was not impressed with the deli department recently. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked in old grease, and it had an odd fishy flavor to it. The skin was dry and appeared to be sitting under the warmer for a while. That was my first time purchasing their deli chicken, and I may not make this purchase again. This store has a large selection of products to choose from. I love their mega deals. Unfortunately, prices are steadily rising and packaging appears to be shrinking. The good news is that they have weekly sales, and I can usually find something at a fair price during a sale. They also have closeout tags around the store. I've found some amazing bargains with long expiration dates on closeout.I rarely shop in some of the other departments such as the home and garden, clothing, shoes, and jewelry. I've actually never been in the jewelry department, so I cannot comment about their prices or quality. The shoe department rarely has any shoes that we like, and they are a little higher priced. The same can be said about the clothing department.I love browsing the floral department. They always have beautiful arrangements. I miss the closeout flowers. I've rescued some lovely flowers from the closeouts in the past. The fragrance of flowers are calming to me, and I always look forward to checking this department.Overall, I like the selection of products that this store offers. I often prefer to shop the sales as some of the regular prices are higher than I am willing to pay. The store is generally clean most of the time, and the bathrooms are well stocked and clean when I visit this location. I'm not a huge fan of the sensitive scales on the self checkout area, but it takes less time to checkout than standing in long lines. The customer service varies each time I shop here. Some days they are great and some are not as friendly on other days. This goes with customer service at all establishments now. We all have days that we struggle to give our best though. I just smile, wish them a better or good day, thank them, and be on my way.

I love Freddie's but it doesn't have the variety any more like it used to. They seem to push their Kroger brand of everything. I get it but it's a bummer when you've been buying a favorite item there for 20 years and now they've stopped carrying it. Other than that, we like how big the store is and how kind the clerks are.

They had great staffing, store was semi confusing because of layout/size. If you need to copy a key, go to the gardening section for better deals/quality of key (you will need an attendant for this key station though, it's worth it imo).

Came in last week to the customer service desk to get a check cashed and a money order, was helped by a wonderful employee named Roy. He was extremely helpful and made the experience wonderful! A definite 5 stars from me!!

Tried buying 5 items in the self checkout and it kept asking for approval like I'm some kind of thief. My child just wouldn't stop touching the scale in self checkout. I just ended up leaving without my stuff because the machine was too picky. Also they have no shoes appropriate for toddlers especially not for kids with disabilities or who have a difficult time walking. Toddler shoes should never be flat footed! Now I remember why I never shop here! Waste of time.
