After spending time and money at 2 different shops I finally found LC Diesel. Shelby quickly diagnosed what had happened to my 6.7 power stroke and provided a few options for remediation. He gave me a detailed estimate, provided a good timeline for repairs and kept his word on both topics. He provided updates and pictures during the rebuild process and was very informative as to what was going on and status of parts.
Finding a good and honest diesel mechanic is no easy task, I would highly recommend giving Shelby an opportunity.
Good man and a small local business, we need to keep these people supported and around.

Quickly found leak in #5 high pressure fuel line, and replaced so I could continue my trip to Montana for work. Very professionabke and knowledgeable.

I bought an 03 Corolla that wasn't running right tried fixing it myself... I fixed a bunch of problems but I could not get the engine to quite run correctly. I threw so many new parts at the thing thinking it would help. Shelby was able to properly diagnose and fix the issue in a timely manner and at a good price. Support local small businesses! Especially when they do such a good job!

I wouldn’t have this guy touch anything of mine again. Brought my F350 in running great. Had diesel getting into the coolant. He was task with putting a set of kill devil diesel heads on it which were supplied. While it was there which was months he would not answer his phone for one issue and when he did I got nothing but lies. Long story short my pickup left in pieces on a tow truck and needing a new block as he striped out the block on 5 head studs. This was due to him running the wrong thread pitch tap in them. Now he has shut off his phone or blocked my number.

Shelbey is a king amongst mechanics and men. Rarely do you see a man so dedicated to his craft whilst also being a beaming beacon of altruism to the world.He spent 72 hours sun up to sun down getting my chariot back on the road. I’m writing this because I feel I have to share what I’ve experienced working here…Last year I decided to work here as a service writer in training. During that time I learned a lot, and saw a lot as well.. I’m not going into to much detail with this because it’s not my place. But it is to warn you to about this place. I worked here for about 5 almost 6 months and was never paid for all the time I worked. They don’t pay you for your work and when you are paid it’s under what you’re supposed to be paid. They up charge on parts tremendously, I know a lot of places do, but like I said I use to work there so I know. There has been a few people that have been screwed over by this place messing up their job or just never getting it done in the first place. If you have been to this place you’re probably thinking I’ll save some money….Not with the hassle that comes with it. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, even to my worst enemy.

What a great person Shelbey is. My truck broke down on a family vacation in Albany Oregon. He came right over helped me get the truck and camper to his shop let myself and my wife say the night in our camper at his property. The next day diagnosed the problem tracked down the parts let me borrow a car to get the part and fixed it to get us bacteria to our vacation in one day. The price was right. People like Shelbey are rare to come by any more. My wife and I were lucky to have come across him. Great person great mechanic.Services: General repairs & maintenance

2005 F250 6.0 power stroke. Broke down near his shop with a horse trailer. Lost oil pressure and would not start. Shelby and I both suspected a failed stand pipe seal or dummy plug seal. Had the truck towed to his shop and Shelbey towed the trailer for us. Shelbey got us back on the road by 11pm. The Stand pipe seal was the cause. Shelbey went above and beyond for us. I have a 2019 Chevy Colorado with the little 2.8 Duramax diesel engine. Unfortunately not very many shops, even gm dealers, know much about these engines. Same case here, but instead of shying away from it, Shelby took the opportunity to learn and did a great job despite the circumstances. I started the repairs in my driveway until I realized I wasnt setup to comeplete the job. Called Shelby, he came to look at it, and towed it to his shop a few blocks away. It was right at the height of the part shortage, and so it took a few months to get the parts and some specific tools for this engine. I appreciate that they let me in the shop to see what was happening any time I stopped by and got a run down on the process and what the next step was. They were honest and prices were fair. Repair was at 90k miles, currently at 112k miles and the truck runs great! Thank you Shelby and team at LC Diesel!

For a small fee my vehicle was given a thorough inspection and a printout of everything that was wrong. The work was amazing Shelby is one hell of a mechanic and I recommend LC Diesel to anyone looking to have the job done right the first time.

In an emergency situation, I had accidently put gas in my diesel Jetta....and LC Diesel was able to save my car amazingly. They drained the gas and with the additives and their quick response and amazing talent, it started right up! I highly recommend them for your mechanical needs. Took our 2000 F250 7.3 in and he did not fix it. He had it for 3 months before we got it back. It did not run right, smoked and couldn't get up to speed to match flow of traffic. Sent it back and then he had it for 6 more months. We didn't get more than 20 miles before the truck gave us issues. He at one point had used the bed for storage. Poor communication, quit responding to us. And fought us on what was actually wrong. We have started to dig back into the engine ourselves and he put in the wrong sized O rings. He did not fix the truck in a timely manner the first time and after it sitting at his shop for 6 months we decided to take it home, he never actually fixed our truck.
