I called to check to see if the fish where ready to buy because every time I go in they are under observation and when I called they said they were good to buy when I got there they won’t let me buy any because they got them under observation as soon as I got there I would not recommend getting any fish here absolutely terrible service and product..

I think Petco is a great place to shop for pet essentials along with grooming needs, which makes it even more convenient while shopping with your furry friends of any nature.

I'm giving the store two stars now. I loved this place and now I'm starting to really not enjoy my experience at the Albany Petco. Two recent plants I bought from the aquarium section gave both of my tanks fish lice, I was told by a male manager that they were definitely hiring on Friday when I picked up my plants. Not only did I get fish lice from their shrimp tank, but also when I checked on the status of my application today I was met with a very rude lady who snapped at me saying "who told you we are hiring we are not hiring" and talked over me when I was trying to talk. I love the managers and I love one of the fish people there but due to the last few weeks of service I'm considering not shopping there anymore at all. I'm always very kind to the staff and I did not even ask for compensation for the fish lice outbreak, I only told the store so they could help their fish and simply wanted to know if I could have an interview. Very displeased with the recent experiences I have had with Petco. So until it gets fixed I'm only giving two stars because some of the staff can be very kind. I now have to completely restart one of my fish tanks in the cycling process due to bad fish shipments and was met with callous feedback my last few calls to the store. Not happy. Don't buy from their fish section until they get the lice under control. I'm very disappointed.

Needed dog food. You actually had what I needed. Asked clerk a question. Said he was new and didn’t know. Didn’t go to find anyone that might. Did finally help me put dog food on my cart

Difficulty finding someone to help. Wandered around store quite a bit to find item. Located staff to help who was obviously ill.

There’s never anyone there to help you with grooming. I stood there numerous times for over 15 minutes till a cashier finally walked over and said there’s no one in, or I just give up and leave. You can’t book just a nail trim or nail buff online, and no one will answer the phone either. That’s why I try to go in to make the appointment, but it seems impossible. It’s pretty sad when we go to the store at least once a week, and can never make an appointment.

Great place to go for your companion needs. Staff are very friendly. Some of the prices that I don't agree with. IMO. All in all it's a great place to shop.

Well, what can I say, I had horrible experience, so if you are thinking about getting your dog groomed, Petco not the best place for this, terrible service and work, even if you pay extra, for extra shedding they will return your dog completely uncombed, half wet and they will be rude to you if you ask for explanation. I highly do not recommend their grooming service and especially groomer Kylie L.
Don’t Waste your time, money and such experience is extra stress for your dog.
Honestly it was the worst grooming experience in my life.
