He's done great on all my scissors. Was even able to salvage a pair that I inherited that someone had ground backwards trying to sharpen them. I've taken little fishing scissors , big dressmakers, pinking shears big and little to him. He's done wonderful on all of them. His prices are very reasonable and turn around time is quick.

Been having John sharpen my scissors for a few years now.The service goes like this: I text him, he responds promptly and comes out TO ME within a day or two.He gives me a loaner pair of shears while he takes mine and within a day or two he brings mine back. I’ve had him sharpen my shears three times now. He charges me $30 and I’ve never had to go a week without my shears. He really makes the experience so easy that I don’t think anything of it. It’s not an inconvenience at all or disruptive to your workday. If you’re a Harry Potter fan, he’s basically the Olivander of shears.
