I love this company although it can be a but pricey. Our visit yesterday was great! The technician was amazing. Kind. Listened to all my questions & Floakie loved her. She went through different prices with me to figure out the best way to care for my dog and still fit my budget. The Dr was outstanding! I had my 3yr old daughter with me and not only did she keep her occupied, she did her job and made me feel good about our decisions. My only complaint would be the front staff. They weren't warm and kind. To me that's the first thing we encounter so it should feel welcoming. You should engage with the clients & at least pretend to love your Job. Other than that l love all they do!

Good veterinarians… if you can get seen. Their schedule is completely packed so if you have urgent needs or an animal with long term problems and you don’t have a flexible schedule, I would look elsewhere. Unless you call at 6:30am to get in a cancellation list for the day, it will take weeks for your pets to be seen, regardless of urgency I learned through experience. Really sad, my family and I have been going to VCA Rock Creek for over 20 years. Unfortunately I can’t say it’s an industry wide issue. Banfield got me in immediately with promise of urgent care drop offs WITHOUT a 6:30am call for cancellations. Maybe if they changed some things structurally they’d see a change in how their customers feel, like they are being treated as the priority. Not keeping an existing broken structure that is not accommodating. Like I said, the staff is nice, the vets are great. But if you can’t see them what’s the point.

I couldn’t be happier with Rock Creek VCA. They have accessible hours, someone always answers the phone, and Dr. Wang is fantastic! She is thorough, patient, and answers all of your questions. They always map out the pricing of every service and allow you to choose what you can afford. They can file your claims to your insurance as well! Every staff member loves my baby and I feel safe and comfortable allowing them to take care of her. Thank you, VCA!

I took my new kitten for rabies vaccine, FeLV/FIV test and a wellness check-up. Dr. Fujiura was absolutely great and did a thorough check on my kitten. So, no complains about quality of services. However, I looked online about things a bit before going there and estimated a cost ( I read the reviews and knew VCA will cost a bit more), even so, $142 for the FeLV/FIV test? Whereas it should only be ~$40 (according to all the places I looked up and know of). If they use any special medical device and charge more I expected them to be upfront about it. I asked them for an explanation after the visit but they couldn’t explain and told me the office manager will call. I never recieved any call from them.I didn’t want to rate them bad since we pet parents really need a hospital with quality services. But this really was too much.

I've been going to vca for my dog and always feel welcomed. when I walk in the door the front team is always nice, however yesterday I was not met with the same welcoming environment. Someone new that has not helped me before (Michelle) was very off putting and seemed to be mad and as if I was bothering her. I stood at the counter for a bit. She did not great me or even really acknowledge me she typed away and asked if this was the 1050 appointment and I said yes and apologized for being a lttle late she just stared at me got on the walkie and told them I was there and said they would come out for me and that was it.It felt very uncomfortable and i could feel there was like tension in the air at the front desk.

The young blonde lady vet was too scared of the dog she couldn’t give him a proper examination. Instead, she stood across the room, looking at the dog while giving him his examination. My dog suffers from anxiety and had a muzzle on, and she was still too scared to get close to him. Even left the room to see if it would get any better and apparently It didn’t. I’m no animal expert but If ur too scared with a muzzle on, maybe you should find a new practice? And then they charge $400 when they barley looked at the dog?? Gave him a couple shots that’s about it. Great way to scam customers.

I very rarely write reviews, but the gratefulness I feel towards the VCA Rock Creek Animal Hospital staff really deserves it. The staff are efficient, attentive and most of all, kind-hearted. From the moment I called for any emergency appointment (with a dog they had never seen before), they went out of their way to take care of my pup who was in dire need of care. The entire staff was non-judgmental, even when he had a couple of accidents in the foyer; they just cleaned it up and offered support and kindness.I appreciate the help from Michelle at the front desk (and several others), as well as the assistants who were so gentle with him. I also appreciate the time, explanations and follow-up calls (yes, TWO follow-up phone calls days after treatment) from Dr. Fujiura; I don’t even get that courtesy from my human doctor. I also appreciate that Dr. Fujiura was up-front about the costs and was clear on the reason for each of the treatments.Rudy is well on his way to recovery and has bounced back like a champ. Thank you to all at the VCA Rock Creek Animal Hospital you are appreciated!

I picked the hospital after Banfield. There were pros and cons. I recommend Dr Fujiura - for attention, easy communication, passion to pets and owners, great service. Excellent electronic communications and tests results availability in Internet time. The services a bit pricey but lower than BluePearl, and they give estimation before the service unlike others. They use Antech for all diagnostic services - a kind of monopoly on pricing. And the VCA is owned by MARS Inc (as with other pet and human brands of food, snacks and per services).

We booked an emergent appointment at VCA RockCreek as our young kitty was on deaths door after an unknown accident (possibly hit by a car or had a long fall from a tree) Upon quickly meeting with Dr. Allison Wang, we discovered our kitty had a broken rib & punctured lung. He was suffocating, filling with air, and in immense pain. His survival rates were pretty low. A 5k surgery at the Emergency Vet in Beaverton was unfortunately not an option for us. We put our trust in Dr. Wang to do all that she could to save our kitty. She made numerous phone calls for us, spoke to other Dr.’s, & made a wonderful plan for our kitty. Miraculously to her surprise & ours, he survived! Her number one goal was to make him as comfortable & pain free as possible. She texted me daily to check in on his pain and reassured us that we were doing all that we could. We were never charged for multiple follow up appointments that regarded to this issue & she stuck to our budget. The staff as a whole, saved our kitty's life. We are so incredibly grateful for VCA RockCreek & especially Dr. Wang.

My dog is a crazy pit mix, absolutely insane. She’s a super happy and hyperactive dog and loves seeing people but she’s way too hyper in the wrong moments. Most vets that I go to get annoyed by her and treat her like a nuisance, but Holly and the crew over here treated her absolutely amazing. They never made me or her feel unwelcome or like a burden, they gave her treats and lots of love to the point that she didn’t even realize that she was getting stuck with needles or thermometers up the butt! I will 100% be coming back and sticking with Holly as her normal vet. 10/10 recommend!!!!

This place requires that pets get numerous vaccines before they will see your pet. Never experienced that at any vet prior in any state. Just seems like a way to squeeze more money out of customers, which I respect, but can't afford to go here...

They did so amazing with my dog and give him all the love and wanted to make it a great visit for him and they did just that! I adopted my dog a few months ago and he needed to be updated on his shots and they took really great care of us and sent us home with a whole goodie bag full of fun stuff and some flea and tick medicine for free!

If they don’t think you have money they will pass you off and treat you poorly. We didn’t even get offered the pet insurance or talked about long term care for our pets. It’s like they were bothered we were there. I’m certain this had to do simply with me being brown. Just to let them know that not everyone that has money looks like how they think. Paid them over a thousand dollars to see my four pets, which is eh, but because of their discriminatory practices I won’t be going back. No one’s pet should experience a different level of care simply because their owners don’t fit their stereotype.

They have done an excellent job of taking care of my animals for over a decade, everything from finches, to rats, to dogs and cats. I have never had a bad experience here. They all really seem to love my animals ❤️
