About Allen Elizabethan Theatre
The Allen Elizabethan Theatre is a beautiful and incredible outdoor theatre, open to the skies above. It is Ashland's most prized setting and a true gem, primarily what brings tourists to the area for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Inspired by the famous Globe Theatre in England, it provides an amazing and wonderful experience. There is not a bad seat in the house; every seat is a good seat, guaranteeing an awesome and intimate setting. The stage is large with many entrances, and the acoustics, lighting, and design are all incredible and on point. The show goes on rain or shine, so attendees often come prepared. The theatre features a concession stand with wine, beer, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, plus snacks like popcorn, cookies, and ice cream. Parking can be a little challenging, but there is a parking garage nearby. The theatre is close to the main street with many restaurants. Seeing a Shakespeare play here is a spectacular and entertaining experience with very talented and funny actors, often interacting with the crowd. It is an absolute must if in the area.

Beautiful place this is my favorite it's open half of the theater to the skies above. Last time it rained and I was glad we were in the back. This time the weather was so good crisp but unseasonably warm.

Bring a cushion. In the fall a blanket helps. Love this venue.
