Always a great selection of CDs and vinyl! John is the owner and a terrific person. Don't see what you want... They'll order it for you! This is the 'go to' store.

Nice selection of media of many formats and old and new. You could spend all day in there.

Came here and bought a record for $25 Imagine John Lennon and the person upfront was super nice to me and said that I had a really good taste in rock music for a 14 year old and one of the employees said to give the records I decided I didn't want and that they'd return the records back to its spot, overall really nice people and super helpful!

If you still want your music in vinyl or CD, Music Coop is your kind of place. This shop has a stunning and often overwhelming selection of both, plus a few specialty items sprinkled around. One of those was an extremely sturdy pine box that was built for LPs, but will also serve my other storage needs well. This also reminds me of the lesser quality containers that the old Peaches chain used to sell. My major regret from this visit was not diving into the CD selection a bit more. I'm not ready to explore LPs again, but the Music Coop might change anyone's minds. My impression of the owner is that he's forgotten more than I'll ever learn here. But one has to start someplace!

A gem. There aren't too many places like this left! And I bet if you stocked just one record player, it would sell every time...

It's always a great place to visit. Great selection of vinyl and CDs, well curated and well organized. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you can't find it, they will. And if they don't have it, they'll order it.

The worst prices in a record store across Southern Oregon. They seem to be intentionally marked up, brand new and used alike. Albums that are just released are almost always 5-10 over MSRP. Additionally, the owner is a j**** He’s snooty, rude, and unpleasant with customers. I have been a collector in the area for around 15 years and have had consistent issues with him, and so has my spouse. He is also a bit creepy with women. The one upside is his vinyl and CD stock are always solid.

We were exploring Ashland by foot the day after a play at the Shakespeare Festival and I’m always intrigued by surviving record stores so I stopped into the Music Coop. As I perused the racks, I realized that I had stumbled into a gem. The stock was expertly- curated and I found so many items ( vinyl and CD) that I had been ( or hadn’t realized I was) looking for. When I asked the owner John a question, it opened a fascinating dialogue about music and artists we both treasure. What a great guy and expert! I found it hard to walk away and catch up with my wife shopping nearby. If you visit Ashland Oregon, you owe it to yourself to visit Music Coop. It may be the best record store I’ve ever been to ( and I check out one in every town). Thanks John for an enlightening visit and I’m enjoying the funky Johnny Otis disc you recommended!
