Was here a year ago February and loved it. My choice for Mother's Day 2021. So worth the "over-an-hour" wait. Great view of the Columbia River mirrors the wonderful food and brews. Excellent Calimari, Oregon Hazelnut salad with dried cranberries and Bleu Cheese. Chose their Strawberry Vinegarette.UPDATE March 16, 2024: How very disappointing...their menu has changed and not for the best. The place wreaked of bleach from waitresses spraying the tables after clearing. Noisey and uncomfortable. We walked out. Won't be going back.

Such a great place. The food was fantastic, fun atmosphere, and loved the beers. We have been to MANY breweries, but they had a great variety. Highly recommend. BTW....the Goonies merch was really fun and nostalgic. Definitely be back when in the area next.

ABC is a mandatory stop when we go to Astoria. Always great brews with a super view of the Columbia. The new pricing with no tipping is interesting, what you see on the menu is what you get.

The first thing you need to know about this place is that the entire restaurant has an amazing waterfront view of the Columbia River. The second thing you need to know is that they are very proud of Astoria having been the shooting location for "The Goonies."Staff is friendly, seating is first come, first serve, and you order food at the bar. Here's what I thought of each dish:- Flight: nice if you really like dank IPAs, 5 for $11. I really liked the unfiltered lager and amber ales, both of which had nice biscuit-y malt flavors and different bodies.- Oyster shooters: great! I didn't think fresh seafood needed to be hidden under the tomato-flavor of the cocktail sauce.- BBQ pork small tacos: the name is a lie, they are regular street taco-sized. A sweet and hot BBQ pork that had a nice acidic slaw and lime topping. It was an appetizer, but would be my go-to dinner at this place in the future.- Oregon Hazlenut Salad: got it with the berry vinaigrette and crispy chicken. This is a home-run sweet salad: toasted hazelnut halves, Bleu cheese crumbles, dried cranberries--tons of complex sweet and savory flavor. I wish they made it with a heartier green like spring mix rather than romaine lettuce, but that's not a reason not to appreciate the amazing flavor.- Wings: the regular marinade is a salt and chili-pepper-based flavor that is pretty nice. Big wedges of carrots and celery to dip in the ranch and Bleu cheese dressings. The wings are like double the size of Wingstop wings and you get 10-ish of them.- Marrionberry cobbler: oh. My. God. A large ramekin of marrionberry cobbler with a big scoop of ice cream and huge swirl of whipped cream. Warm berries and crisp crust under the cool vanilla ice cream. Unbelievably good dessert (I love marrion berries. If you don't, what's wrong with you? /s).Overall there's some nice bar food with a great view. We spent a lot together in part because I wanted some seafood, and we didn't know how big the appetizers were. They seemed much bigger than we'd expected in some cases (wings and tacos). We spent over $100 for two people, but when we come back, we'll know what to order and will likely spend around $60 with tip for three shared plates and a beer or two.For those who care, seating is very fat-friendly. Big wooden tables with metal chairs. The seating area could fit a wheelchair or walking aid. There are steps to get into the front door, so you might call before going to see if they have an accessible entrance.

An interesting place almost feels fast food style as you go up and order your items. No table service. Halibut and chips were just ok, it was definitely over cooked. Chowder was good. It's a nice modern building, and it also has a nice view.

The beer is amazing, they had an amazing porter soaked with raspberries, a stout that had cardamom, cinnamon and coco nibs and you can never go wrong with their strawberry blond ale. My husband enjoyed his Reuben sandwich with a side of delicious chowder. I ordered Mac and cheese with a side salad with the pesto ranch dressing. The pesto ranch was tasty but the Mac was subpar. Go for the beer, don't order the Mac and cheese.

Service can take a little bit of time particularly during a lunch rush, but the wait is worth it, especially for their in-house baked bread. Easily the best bread I’ve ever had, no joke. I don’t know what they put in it but it has to be addictive. Their regular pub fare/chowder is honestly worth it, haven’t tried something yet I was disappointed in, but honestly, at this point I’d go just to eat the bread.Brew wise, Astoria can be hit or miss—I personally found some of the staples (like the strawberry blonde) to be lackluster, however, some of the rotation brews can really knock your socks off in the best way. The Guava sour we tried was one of the juciest, most authentically fruity sours we’ve ever tried. Easy to recommend this location for these merits, and of course the great view of the river!

The clam chowder was out if this world, the best chowder I've ever tasted. The Guava Cider is 10/10 , I would drink it all day.
