About Atomic Motel
Atomic Motel is a charming, retro-style hotel that offers a fun and unique experience. Its colorful 50s decor, including vintage refrigerators and microwaves, adds a lot of character to the rooms. The motel provides various room options, including family rooms with multiple beds, making it suitable for families or groups. Guests often appreciate the convenient location, as it is within walking distance to restaurants like Soon Yi Sushi, Golden Luck Chinese Restaurant, and Pig ’n Pancake, and is close to a busy street, offering great views of the Astoria-Megler Bridge, especially at night. The rooms are generally clean and well-maintained, with some simple touches like nice toiletries and cute refrigerators. However, some guests found the beds and pillows to be average or flat, and the lack of air conditioning was a minor issue, though a box fan was provided for comfort when the weather was cooler. The bathrooms are small and can get humid after showers, and walls are thin, so noise from neighbors may be heard. The motel’s lobby is quiet, but the overall noise level from the street can be high. Additional features include keyless entry, convenient parking, and basic breakfast options, such as Pop Tarts for those on the go. While some aspects like privacy curtains could be improved, many guests enjoyed the quirky atmosphere, helpful staff, and the overall vibe of this simple, nostalgic spot. It’s a good choice for travelers seeking a memorable style and a convenient location.

Convenient location for a quick stop over. Could use another set of curtains on the curtain rod as there appeared to be some gaps when trying to close for privacy.

Quaint older place easy access and lots of resturaunts nearby.

A perfectly average experience. The room was nice and moderately well cleaned. My biggest bother was the lack of a/c and the showerhead being pretty low down. The building itself seems like it was renovated to hide some of the structural imperfections rather than fix them, but the theming is fun and the decor spot-on.
