As I understand and appreciate this clinic provides safe and efficient care for the clients they receive along with excellent prices compared to other veterinary clinics or hospitals. We had taken our pets here in the past with absolutely no issues. This time however was not as issue-less! First off we were not greeted in a friendly manner; nor were the other customers as we were all surprised by her rudeness towards everyone. After our puppy got spayed we were handed discharge instructions and medication , no cone was offered. On the front page it specified her medication and spay surgery instructions. Then it stated that any “special” instructions would be highlighted. Nothing was highlighted so we assumed she didn’t need a cone. Three days later my puppy tor open her stitches and 2 inches of her intestine were hanging out and bleeding. I contacted said vet and they told me to bring her in. They repaired the damage and puppy is ok but they would not accept any responsibility on not telling us about a cone. The woman at the front desk, the rude one told me and my husband it was totally our fault and they took no responsibility. Then….she wanted payment. I looked her in the eye and told her that this was an emergency visit and that I had no funds until that coming Thursday. I told her my bank account was overdrawn and then she asked if I could do $50.00. I told her my account didn’t have $50.00 and if she ran my card it would overdraft my account and be charged $35.00 for overdraft fees. She didn’t care, she grabbed my debit card and ran it anyway! Guess what…my bank paid it but charged me a $35.00 fee. Today I tried to talk to the woman in the front and asked if they would split the cost and she rudely said NO, my boss said no. The woman in the front greeting everyone, her name starts with a B and ends with a Y. We asked to talk to the manager and her response was she was the manager because they have a few of them.

The only place I will take my furbabies. The front desk folks to the vets and vet techs are empathtic, compassionate and most understanding group I have ever met in a vet's office. Thank you for all you do.

This used to be the place to take your pet before covid. Now not so much the vets or ok the short little receptionist is a real C word. We won't be back.

This was the most horrendous experience I've ever had at a vet clinic. I came around 9am (they don't take appointments) and was told they'd see my dog at 1:30pm. It would be a $45 base pay. By 11:00am my dog was breathing rapidly and shallowly and his heart was pounding. I called and asked if he could be seen any earlier. They told me if I got there by 11:40am they would put him in a kennel and he may be seen sooner. I called at 2pm to check in and he still hadn't been seen by a vet. They called back around 2:40 and offered some solutions. The woman on the phone told me it would be an additional $100 charge for taking him in early--no one told us this when we called at 11am. Again, he was not seen until after 2:30pm when his appt. was set for 1:30 and he arrived at 11:40 to be checked out sooner. When my wife and I came around 3:45 to pick him up, we told them they did not disclose that by dropping him off at 11:40, there would be an additional $100 fee. A large woman with red curly hair YELLED at my wife and I shouting that she had told us. I corrected her immediately stating she told us at 2:45 after the vet had finally seen our dog--not when I initially called at 11am when I was under the impression it was a $45 fee. I would've paid the $100 (even though they did not disclose the extra fee) if they'd seen our dog at 11:40 as they stated. The people, especially the brown haired woman with glasses and the large woman with red curly hair were so horribly rude, I was shocked. I have never been disrespected like that in a professional setting. We asked the brown haired woman to speak to the vet about dropping the $100 fee--she did but I'm sure she did not disclose the fact that we were not told we were to pay that additional $100 to be kenneled. They did not give us discharge instructions. They also had the audacity to tell us if we neeed to be seen in the future for a vet emergency, to drive 2+ hours away....these are not nice people. Our old vet was so loving to our dogs, always greeted them with gentle care and called with updates and were always transparent about costs. If you can avoid it, go elsewhere. They want your money and don't seem very kind to their clients or clients pets.

Great little vet. We drove out from Scappoose to get our cat fixed because they were the only one that we didn't have to wait 6 months to get in. We had a lovely day in Astoria while we waited. Definitely recommend
