Bookstore is nice, coffee is great, staff so friendly that their extended visit/Christmas gift exchange with friends delayed my essential espresso needs, and was so loud it threatened to wake up the homeless guy sleeping in 50% of the two chairs available. Thanks for your comment. This post relates to a visit around Christmas 2017. It is a 4 star review, one star withheld because I waited so long. I visit many bookstores. This is a nice one, but marred by the wait and noise.

Awesome book store with a little of everything for everyone. Lots of fiction, non-fiction, special interests books, and plenty of kids and teen books, comic books, and manga, as well.

First off, when you first walk in, there's the local authors section! Way to support locals! I love it!. Great selection of books reasonably priced, alot of fun novelties, this was Saturday 2/10/24, the woman working that day,she was amazing! Her customer service went far and above and her friendly attitude and upbeat personality really set the scene for a great visit to the store, and the coffee was fantastic! , wife and I purchased a few books as well :)Thank you and keep up the good work :)

One of the best bookstores on the Oregon Coast! I love the collection here, well laid out and so cozy. The coffee is wonderful and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this stop - don't be in a rush!

Store had a great selection of books and gifts however, the employees were being extremely loud and so unprofessional that it made it very hard to really take out time to browse the store. My wife and I opted to leave and go elsewhere.

One of the two excellent book stores on the North Coast. The best used bookstore for 100 miles. Nice people too.

I pop in here randomly. They have a very wide selection of reading materials. The person working is always very friendly and ready to help you. Great place to bring your book friends! I was here this most recent time with my Mom. She was helping a friend find a book. We figured this was the perfect place to meet. And they found several books in the topic they were seeking on that day. Definitely enjoy visiting here.

Fun little book store crammed full of interesting books and other bits and bobs. Good espresso, too. At least lately, they've been featuring lots of LGBTQIA books, which I appreciate. I only wish they had some overstuffed chairs scattered around so I could hang out all day (but I get why they don't).

Wry large section of books. If you can’t find a book to read then you’re just browsing.

Every time I come to Astoria I'm in shock that this place is still open. I guess there are enough unsuspecting tourists who don't stay long enough to realize that the owners are really horrible, rude people who treat others deplorably and who carry and condone some pretty disgusting books. My first visit to this place ages ago consisted of me sitting down to order a coffee, then being immediately told that I could not sit because the seats were for locals. Wow. To my credit, I was willing to ignore that and started browsing books anyway- Only to stumble onto some books with pretty horrible ideology about women, which I won't repeat here. Unfortunately this tracks with some of the other reviews here and I would strongly encourage you to support another bookstore (there are some other great ones close by!) ...I have a few friends who are locals who have told me they're ashamed of this bookstore and the people who run it, and to please know that it's not indicative of the town. Please, go elsewhere!

A novelty Bookstore. I live in town an come by sometimes. I get a beverage and usually buy a book or puzzle or something for my daughter. It does try and maybe have a bit of an edgy feel, I guess. Unlike some comments it's not some adults only store. They are nice and revert respectfully to typical niceties. I wouldn't come in and try and be a Karen though. It's a small bookstore on a main street next to other spooky themed shops. I guess I've just felt compelled to comment quietly on what must be selling, disappointing to my hopes for a future society of critical thinkers. The non-fiction section on Science only had one unfilled shelf with not one book by a respectable contemporary scientist. Out of the two or three, somewhat newer ideas, the book standing out was titled something like "the Magick of Physics" probably worth a C+ or B- on the writing and a D on the science. So too many superstitious, political books, lifestyle and older celebrity biographies: the sections seemingly most highlighted were astrology, Wicca with the usual incense and the like. At least they didn't fill the other selves with all religious philosophies and fantasies. I'm likely in the minority opinion on what they should stock, and I can always find what I'm looking for at the library anyway, so go to Godfathers. Buy a book that'll make your catholic aunt piss herself when she sees it on your coffee table. It'll be funny. Just please don't buy INTO it, it's just as stupid. They do have more and I'll be back to have a beverage and look at what people are reading and maybe buy a book.

Godfather, cat stuff, and books. It doesn't get better than this bookstore. Definitely a must stop location when in the Astoria area.
